Final #Jets QB reps today: McCown 31, Hackenberg 17, Petty 15.

It makes 0 sense for McCown to get twice as many reps as either of the young guys in OTA's. Unless of course the "Fair competition"  is total BS, and Bowles has already decided who his starter is, and is giving McCown the reps, well because, you know," he gives us the best chance to win "

Once again. Jets QB Josh McCown took the majority of the practice reps. It wasn't a crisp day, as he completed only 12 of 21 passes. Bryce Petty (8-for-13) and Christian Hackenberg (5-for-11) split the remainder of the reps. Hackenberg threw a nice TD pass to Eric Decker in a red-zone drill, but followed with two incompletions that weren't close. It was a strong practice for rookie S Jamal Adams, who had two pass break ups. Rookie pass rusher Dylan Donahue also stood out.

This really isn't how sh*t should be. McCown shouldn't be doubling the reps when we're rebuilding the rebuild... he's a ******* veteran. Why can we not get professional coaches in here?

Fair, open competition, best players play, splitting reps evenly - the consistent lies of Todd Bowles.

Honestly, if this was the last 2 weeks before the season opened, and the kids had shown they suck, I'd understand.  At this point in the season, neither young guy has ever played in a WCO, they freaking need the reps.

This is insane

One ironclad law of the NFL: if you want to regain control of a shaky locker room, your first step should be handing first-team reps to sh*tty players just because they're young

I understand what you're going for here, but this is OTAs. The young guys should be getting reps now, so that when mini-camp and preseason get here, there is consensus amongst most players as to who should get the majority of the much more important reps as the season grows closer.

Ya know?

Been busy today. How many Hackterceptions and fumblebergs were there?

Just follow Connor Hughes, that seems to be all he uses twitter for right now... he's trying to capture that demo that bites on all of Mehta's trolling.
