Landry

Okay. then I could be okay with this for an offseason. The only pause I have is the RB, K. Johnson ( i don't hate the pick, just not sold on him). but other than that I am okay with this offseason

I really like this mock draft and to some extent, this plan . What I would ask myself is what's most important to the Jets roster based o what's available via the draft .

Is a 30 year old QB with 1 playoff appearance worth that much more than Alex Smith who has been to the playoffs with both teams he's started for ?

Is that QB more of a priority than an edge rusher who could possibly take your defense to another level and allow you to focus on offensive talent in the draft ?

Every year someone drops that everyone thinks won't .

I like this mock. Well done.  Love the Rashaan Melvin signing as well as the Jarvis Landry signing.  Tate and Anderson on the outsides with Landry in the slot would be really fun to watch.  A little concerned with the O-line depth and D-line depth but they could probably find some UDFA or cheap free agents later.  After cutting Ijalana, signing Jensen and Okorafor.  The O-line would be: Beachum, Winters, Carpenter, Shell, Braden, Jensen, Okorafor. After cutting Wilkerson, the d-line would be Williams, Pelon, Simon and McClendon.  Good thing is after all the signings (FAs, re-signing and draft) I believe you would still have around $30M, could be used to sign some cheap depth on the offensive and defensive lines.

It's beautiful and it doesnt seem that unrealistic.

Did you enjoy it as much as I did? :)

It's actually a pretty strong offseason mock. Hard to poke holes in it....

I'm not really a Landry guy -- I respect him, but that type of WR is the easiest to fill IMO. Much harder to land a quality split end (X) than a slot/Z guy. Tate is the big 6'5 guy, right? I need to watch more of him

I meant did you enjoy cutting Hackenberg? :)

Landry was interesting. I had cut Kearse and I wanted to improve the wr position. Unfortunately, Cousins dragged out my negotiations so long (ironic, I know) that I missed out on Robinson in the simulation.
