Adoni Beast
Pre-season hype and the no huddle uptempo offense looked amazing. The narrative was “will we be able to build a championship during Darnold’s rookie deal?” Now Im honestly wondering “will we have a team good enough for Darnold to want to reup here?”

No sense keeping Darnold if he is going to get Luck-ed, just like Siemian did.

The Salary Cap continues to go up every year so that mitigates the cost a bit 2. If you draft properly, then you don't have to worry about paying a ton of money to your QB.

Joe W. Namath
How about we figure out if darnold is any good before we talk about championships and reupping him.
ChuckkieB
The OL needs to be completely rebuilt or else Darnold won't even physically last until the end of his rookie deal.

Well, it’s all based on Douglas being a competent GM, which is an unknown at this point

If im the jets, im taking a qb in the 3rd or 4th round this year. Its not time to replace darnold, but it is time to invest a mid round pick to develop. Macc was trying to do that during this years draft. That's the best way to rebuild, thru the draft like Miami is trying to do. The key, obviously, is making the CORRECT picks during the draft. I have more confidence in JD than Macc.

With all the holes on this team the last thing we need to do is waste another pick on a player that won't see the field.

In the event we are 3-13/4-12ish again this season, that is absolutely what we would do.
