I was in a lip-sych contest and did that song while at SUNY Cortland. I'm a dork.

Go For it.....

Girlfriend in a coma, I know

I know - it's serious

Girlfriend in a coma, I know

I know - it's really serious

There were times when I could

Have "murdered" her

(But you know, I would hate

Anything to happen to her)

NO, I DON'T WANT TO SEE HER

Do you really think

She'll pull through ?

Do you really think

She'll pull through ?

Do ...

Girlfriend in a coma, I know

I know - it's serious

My, my, my, my, my, my baby, goodbye

There were times when I could

Have "strangled" her

(But you know, I would hate

Anything to happen to her)

WOULD YOU PLEASE

LET ME SEE HER !

Do you really think

She'll pull through ?

Do you really think

She'll pull through ?

Do ...

Let me whisper my last goodbyes

I know - IT'S SERIOUS

Thor I've got something for you:

Split Enz is getting back together for a tour of Australia in June/July. I'm hoping they will come to North America as well.

Neil Finn is a good mate of Eddie Vedder and has been to North America many times. Hopefully that will fuel the 'Enz' to do a tour of small clubs over here.

I would love to see them perform live. My Mum's friend used to live next door to them in Malvern, Victoria. I met them once when I was a kid.

That's great news. I would love to see a Split Enz/Crowded House show.

You know what this thread is missing? Sinead O'Connor's first album, The Lion and the Cobra.

Severely underrated record, full of great songs.

Mandinka, Jackie O, Just Like You Said It Would Be.

I'm going to have to go and find that CD now.

I see Thor has A Flock of Seagulls on his list. I really liked their album. I saw them live, once, opening for the Go-Gos.

There was a lot of great music back then. Some crap, too, but a lot of fun stuff.

Bob I loved the Go-Go's!!!:)

I am not sure if the music was so awesome in the 80's or if it had to do with the fun I was having then!!!!! :)

Either way it all brings back great memories.:yahoo:

Loved them

To this day I still have not heard a voice as good as Steve Perry.

Someone posted a great song in "Lights". Their whole Escape album was great and was something that they were never able to recapture with the followups "Frontiers" and "Raised on Radio"

Say what you want about Bon Jovi but they are one of the few 80's hair bands that have stood the test of time and even now continue to play to sold out arena and stadiums around the world.

Not bad for a bunch of guys from Jersey.

Just saw them the other night, excellent show.

Was disappointed in NOFX last night, though.

Hey, question for you guys. What ever happened to Murray Head? I LOVED "One night in Bangkok". That song RULED!

Haven't heard anything about him in quite a long time.

BTW, this thread is making me feel OLD. Where the hell did our youth go?

I don't know what happened to him, but the album that that came off of is called 'Chess'. Definitely worth picking up.

Valley Girl had some great songs in it as well.

The Plimsouls- A Million Miles Away

Josie Cotton- Johnny Are You Queer? (There's a Smizzy joke in there, somewhere)

Psychedelic Furs- Love My Way

By the way, Richard Butler's band after the Furs, Love Spit Love, is awesome.

That was a great soundtrack. Adding a few more....

Modern English - Love My Way

and I L-O-V-E-D the Payolas - Eyes of a Stranger

I absolutely loved 19 by Paul Hardcastle (and no, not becuz of his name, RMAOLOL).

Also, for some reason, I could really relate to SMALLTOWN BOY, BY THE BRONSKI BEAT, I guess it was bcuz I'm from a small town or something.

I also liked TRY by Thelonious Monster, it reminds me of a happier time in my life, when things weren't so complicated.
