Excited about Quickly and impressed with Barrett and Randle (should be considered for an extension). He barely had a TC and preseason and played like 2 minutes in the first game of the regular season before getting injured and missing 3 weeks. He will get more run and get to develop his rhythm and timing once Toppin gets back on track he’s going to be really good

nycdan
Now that Obi is playing again, Thibs can manage minutes more rationally. Keeping Barrett and Randle fresh may be the difference in 5 wins vs. losses this year, and ultimately the playoffs. I am curious about the schedule though. Why do we only play Washington, Toronto, and Detroit once each (crappy teams), while playing many western teams twice?

I looked at the ludicrous format Silver and his clowns put together and it’s essentially a 10-seed playoffs with seeds 7-10 having 0 difference so it would be good to get a top 6 seed but the Knicks can still essentially make the playoffs as the 10th seed in the east

nycdan
Team is so Jekyll & Hyde. Yes, we beat GS with Green watching the 2nd half because the refs are idiots, but they looked far better than the team that lost 5 straight just last week. It's GREAT to see RJ coming into his own as a budding star. And watching Obi put that dunk in from the baseline was pure joy. I am starting to really enjoy what they have. They are sloppy and seem to turn the ball over a lot, but if they clean that up, they can probably hang with almost anyone and should certainly stay in the playoff grouping even if they don't finish top-6.

No but it does put a little bit of a more positive spin on the team. They are constantly playing tougher teams but they are about to go into the soft pocket of their schedule (3 games against WAS and MIA in the next 4). I think .500 is a great goal for this team and sets them up well for Free Agency and a push to make some playoff noise next season. 1

If 3 teams have the same record at the end of the year how is the draft order handled? I know if you are a lottery team you get equal amount of balls to those you are tied with. What about those teams who are not lottery eligible.... when you exit the playoffs?
