It's purely based on his religious beliefs (it's one of the commandments). There's a good reason why religion and politics are kept out of this forum. Regarding using the lord's name in vain. People are using terms that have become generally accepted figures of speech in our society. When someone is exasperated and uses the term, I do not believe there is any disrespect intended. You may not agree and that is fine. But please, do not use it as an invitation to share your religious beliefs. But, if someone is offended by it. And calls it out. Is it that hard to simply say I am sorry, I did not mean to offend. Or ignore the comment. Some good people on this site that I have met in person are genuinely offended by these comments. Be respectful and move on. Instead the response is escalating remarks which appear to be intended to inflame. Everyone is 100% convinced that they are in the right. Which leads to more and more heated and disrespectful discussion. And ultimately ends with a game day thread being locked. Come on JN.
