To me, teh bottom line in all this is that the Bosox have good starting pitching, but they are not the run-scoring machine they were in past seasons. Hence, they can't assume that they can roll over folks anymore, even teams like the Royals. Bosox still in the drivers seat, but they are sweating. And JBF knows this, very well.
