They said that Carolina would be a good place to trade him before the deadline Oct.16th. They were just speculating on the qb situation in Carolina and felt that would be a great place for Chad. penningtonfan82 Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 All they said was that it would be interesting to see what happens by that time with Pennington, and that Carolina would be a place he might end up, if the Jets decide to part ways with him/make a move at the deadline, because he would be a nice fit there, but it was there opinion, not something that's happening. Well doesn't matter. Chad isn't going anywhere till after the season. I haven't heard anything down here about Chad possibly coming. I doubt they'll trade for him this offseason because they'll be getting their starter back and can draft someone of more value.... Which is why I dont believe this to be true. Chad can't throw a deep ball to save his life. How is that a good marriage? Not to mention Smith is injury prone. He wouldn't last 2 games before Chad's ducks landed him on IR.
