Dude. It is the University of No Hardware we are talking about. Thanks for that Maine. :scare:

The tournament is always a let down. Actually, losing to Maine in the championship game and in OT was worse. Thanks again, Maine. :curse:

If it makes you feel any better UNH should beat the crap out of Maine this weekend. Friday nights game is in Durham and Saturday nights game is at the Verizon Center in Manchester.

Lowell needs UNH to stumble this weekend but I don't see it happening.

According to this http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hockey/id,16565/BracketologyFeb42009.html you guys would make the tournament if it started today.

Since UNH is the host school they will play in Manchester if they make it. If Lowell pulls some kind of miracle and makes the dance they will be shipped off to Minneapolis or Grand Rapids.

we will get bid.. we will win the tourney

Looks like the winner of the CHA will be sent to Grand Rapids to play against the #1 seed. That would be Notre Dame.

Since your boys have only beaten 3 or, maybe, 4 teams with winning records this season I don't like their chances.

Either you guys get no respect or your team isnt very good... you would be a 3 seed right now...

NU better wake up if they want to make a run at the national championship.

...I just want to see my Huskies win the Beanpot Championship this Monday.

I really doubt NU is too worried about UMass. Every team has a bad night.

An NU/NU game would be great - but it's not 'gonna happen. Too bad too. I'd have enough material to last me 'till June. ;)

I agree. Northeastern University Huskies!!!

Off-topic: I used to have a Husky. Beautiful boy. High maintenance. Reminds me of someone I know...LOL! Kidding.

Good for you, 50 degrees is downright tropical to us new englanders. I'll be basking in 70 -80 degrees very soon myself. Thank you Gawd!

Go NU!

Ok kiddies... Friday nights update:

BU Beats Lowell 5-3.

BC beats UMass 2-0 in one of the most boring games ive ever seen.

UNH beats Maine 4-1.

Northeaster squeaks by Merrimack 4-3 with the go-ahead goal with 2:44 left.

VT upends Providence 4-1.

Updated Standings:

1. Northeastern- 29

2. BU- 27

3. VT- 23

4. UNH- 21

5. BC- 20

6. Lowell-18

7. UMass- 15

8. Maine- 14

9. Providence- 11

10. Merrimack- 6pts

Northeastern has clinched a playoff spot. (Max points for Providence is 29 and NU swept season series)

Next up to clinch is BU, however they will have to wait until next week since they are 0-1 against Prov and they dont play another HE game until next weekend.

Merrimack is quickly falling out of the playoff race. Right now max points is 22, so they have already been eliminated from the top 3 spots in the league.

In other hockey news, Niagara beats Robert Morris 4-2 on friday night
