The Marlins are not 4-Real here in 2009...They started off just as hot if not hotter than the Rays last year and they fell off just like everyone predicted. The Rays are the team to beat outta Florida and the Marlins will finish 3rd in the NL East behind the Phillies and Mets.

No. But they do have some talent in SP and some good players. Tampa is still the best team, but Marlins can compete in the NL east since the Phillies and Mets arent that great. Then again it doesnt matter if TB is better or not. 2 different leagues. Neither will be in the playoffs.

Our starting pitching is top 5 with Kazmir, Shields, Garza, Sonnanstine and David Price will be here soon. Our Defense is 2nd to none with Crawford in LF (Best defensive LF in the game), Upton in Center field (Top 5 Defensive CF) and Gross is a solid RF Then our infield is full of gold-glove talent/potential. Carlos Pena is a gold glover and one of the best defensive 1st basemen in the leauge. Evan Longoria is turning into one of the best defensive 3rd baseman that I've ever seen. Aki is a STUD @ 2nd base and should get a gold glove here in 09. Bartlett is a really good defensive SS and Navarro is an all-star catcher. Then our lineup is full of nothing but Speed and Power. After we take this game today from the Yankees...The Rays will be 4-2 against the Red Sox and Yankees. No way we miss the playoffs, no way. Our bullpen is also really good. You sound like the o8 dol-fag fans Nah, but it was just funny when you said the Marlins had the best starting rotation in the league, funny as hell. Rays, Yankees and Red Sox all have a better starting rotation with more talent than the Marlins. Marlins would have the 4th best rotation in the AL East. My original prediction was the Rays winning the wild card, but the Yanks and Sox are good teams also. So any of those 3 can make it. Plus I have a feeling the wild card will be going to another division. Never said they werent good. Just not good enough to run away with it. MagicBizkit87
Hanley Ramirez is really the best player in baseball. Why do you think media has learned that Boston has been trying to get him back. They realize that he's a stud right now.

How does that make him the best player in baseball?

Hanley Ramirez is a 5 tool player, why the hell wouldn't he be in the running for the best player in the game? He can hit about .330, get 30 home runs, steal 50 bags. On the offensive side he's one of the most deadly players in the game. His bad defense is improving by the day, in fact the entire Marlins defense looks so improved after 7 games. He does all this and he's only 25.

Morrissey
Ramirez is a below average short stop. Besides base stealing, Ramirez is in the mold of David Wright, look at there numbers, there similar.

Derek Jeter, at this point of his career, is a horrible short stop. What's your point? Last time I checked, no one is saying Jeter is the best player in the game. Last time I checked, no one is saying Jeter is the best player in the game. Well, basically what your saying, when Alex Rodriguez first made the move to third base, he wasn't too good at the position. Would they have made him not the best player in the game then, because his defense wasn't too good. That's basically what you're saying about Hanley Ramirez.
