Lol at the Texans. Every year we hear the same old crap, when really they'll be at best once again 8-8. Good thread though, I'll post mine soon enough.

I know, I know. I'm buying into them when all logic says not to.

I like their offense, and drafting Mario Williams over Reggie Bush is proving to be one of their best decisions in franchise history. Anyone can win the AFC South this year, to be honest. I bet the division winner ends up 11-5 and the last place team finishes 8-8 or 9-7.

The NFC has not shot?????

Replace Titans for Chargers and I agree which ever of those teams stay the healtiest will win the AFC.

I left Titans out because i don't think Collins can hang with guys like Brady, Peyton and Ben when it comes to the ultimate stakes.

And yea, I think any of the top 5 AFC teams should handle any of the top NFC teams but that any given sunday thing such as 2 yrs ago could happen i guess.

Green Bay, don't sleep on them. People seem to forget about them since Cutler and Favruh are in the same division.

Under .500 team last season, nothing special in the backfield and a totally new defensive scheme.

I'm not going to do this whole thing but I guarantee the wild card does not come from the AFC south.

Really? So the East or West is producing a wild card? Doubtful.

PAtsfan80 at his finest

Right. Because I'm the only one picking the Pats to win the AFC in this thread, huh?

They went 18-1 two seasons ago. Excuse me for thinking they might head back to the Super Bowl again this year like they have 4 times under Belichick. I hope I'm proven wrong, and my thread serves as an anti-jinx.

Forget the whole standings, here's just a brief rundown of my predictions of the playoffs.

AFC:

1. Patriots

2. Steelers

3. Colts

4. Chargers

5. Ravens

6. Jaguars

NFC:

1. Giants

2. Vikings

3. Cardinals

4. Falcons

5. Panthers

6. Eagles

Super Bowl XLIV: Patriots def. Eagles

I was very much inclined to pick the Ravens to win it all, because they just look scary good. But I don't think Flacco would be able to outperform Brady in an AFC Championship game. As for the Eagles; face it: they've had a lot of deep playoff runs the last decade. They're going back--only to be denied yet again.

Not at all

i root for them to go 0-16 unlike you

So because I like Tom Brady, I root for them to win? Shocking. I do not believe that I've ever said I want the Patriots to win. Nope, in fact I NEVER root for the Patriots, unless they are playing the Dolphins. I hope New England goes 2-14 every year, I hope Miami goes 0-16.

However, I'm not stupid, I know New England is easily a 12 win team, at worst, and they would need a lot of bad things to happen to them for that to be the case. More likely is a 14 win team.
