Share 2 Comments Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was ticketed Thursday morning for speeding and careless driving on his way to the team's facility, a team spokesman confirmed.

The citation was first reported by JetsConfidential.com.

The police in Livingston, where the ticket was reportedly issued, were not yet able to be reached for comment.

Revis has been battling an injured left hamstring since Week 2. His status for Sunday's game against Denver is uncertain due to the injury, though coach Rex Ryan said Revis will make the trip west.

I've been one of the people most critical of Revis around here, but is this really news? The guy got a ticket, big f'n deal. That makes him and 90% of the other drivers in this country. Just like everyone else, I'm sure he'll go to court, get it knocked down and his biggest concern will be paying for a ticket and a car insurance increase, which I think we all know he can afford.

Revis gets a speeding ticket in new york?? You'd think with the added weight he could have flashed some cleve and just got a warning. Sounds like the cop here is teh gay or a giants fan.

Revis should text somebody pictures of his man boobs.

This guy is a winner. Class act.

Here we go...are you gonna tell us about how you were a cop once and never saw a pro athlete get a speeding ticket?

But then a few posts later tell us you were just a security guard and then in the police academy but never actually became a cop?

The cop gave Revis a ticket, but he was just pretending to be concerned. ;)

I'm not following you. I've never enforced the law.

I remember hearing a story about JoeD getting pulled over racing to a game and when the cop found out who he was, he escorted him to the game. Can't remember if that was true or not, but my uncles and grandpa would tell me stories about mick and all those guys in nyc back in the day and how things like this always seemed to happen.

Granted there's a difference, Joey D >>> Revis, but I just find it hard that Revis gets a speeding ticket in new york...hell, i've gotten just warnings before.

The perils of being young, black, rich and famous.

Also of note: Mickey Mantle never drove sober.

You get warnings when you're not going too fast. Maybe up to 70 in a 55 although that's stretching it. Once you start hitting about 80 forget it, you're getting the ticket.

Speeding tickets suck but no not everybody gets them. I got a few in Suffolk county back in my very early 20s while in undergrad. Never got a ticket anywhere else. Did get warnings while driving cross country, but since my record had been so good so long nobody wanted to ruin it. I hate Suffolk county. I never get pulled over at all now, I just don't think it's worth it. What is the rush exactly?

He may have been going fast enough to where they could have took him in, so maybe he did catch a break.

I'm happy for Slauson.

He was atrocious early on, but he's looked better as of late.

Again, I'm not about personal message board victories, Chachi. I'm about rooting for the Jets.

Me too Joanie, me too.

What was it when you were calling posters frauds, because they did not mind seeing faneca "the liability" go?
