Mo Lew
http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5915440 FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets, already struggling on offense, will likely lose right tackle Damien Woody for the remainder of the regular season, league sources told ESPNNewYork.com Monday. Woody will have arthroscopic knee surgery this week, a blow to an offensive line known for its durability. It's possible that he could return for the playoffs, depending on his rehabilitation. Woody, the senior member of the line, re-injured his right knee in the first quarter on Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He didn't return to the game, saying afterward that his knee "locked up." He underwent an MRI exam Monday morning, revealing the damage. The exact nature of the injury wasn't immediately available

JiFtheOracle
Not good when we are about to face the Steelers pass rush and Julius Peppers and comp. in back to back weeks. I'm not even sure Schotty or Sanchez knows what max protect means.

Guest Jpf4671
Who cares we have "the best backup in the league" once he removes wake's cleats from his chest he'll slide right in, smooth transition
gsnts725
the way Wayne Hunter played yesterday... this a huge loss... I have no idea how the offensive line is going to stop the Steelers' and Bears' pass rush. Sanchez will have one second to throw the ball =.=
Jets Voice of Reason
Who knows if it would have mattered but why the **** was he playing in the Bengals game?

THE ILK
Who knows if it would have mattered but why the **** was he playing in the Bengals game? Good question. This is a big blow, the line is just not the same without Woody. Everything takes a hit, the running game, and the pass protection, this sucks! He was a LG and his leadership would mean squat in terms of getting a young RT to play well... Mangold is here for that and is a better leader and player than Faneca... Stonehands
Most teams would plug their second round pick in at this point in the season. Of course Vlad remains totally lost.

TNJet
We better get Vlad some reps at RT this week. Hunter got killed by the dolphins LE of all people, just imagine the steelers and bears DE. Ducasse cant be worse than Hunter....right?
Vudu
Put that fat POS Ducasse in there.
TNJet
Lets think of a solution. Could Slauson play some RT and have Ducasse play LG? Slauson started at RT in college his senior year. What about Robert Turner, he is obviously our best backup OL, can he play some RT? or is he just a G/C type? Sorry but after seeing Hunter beaten 5 times by no one yesterday i'm worried when thinking of the steelers and bears D. Thoughts??

nyjets75
It is a shame that Woody is out, but I hope that he makes a speedy recovery. They need to put Robert Turner in to replace Woody. Vlad is crap and I can't say that Wayne Hunter is any better.

That is what makes him so great, his versatility. Whether it is Center, Guard or Tackle, he can get the job done. If Rex wasn't so thick headed, he would have been utilizing him more over the last 3 years.

Yeah you are deffinetly right, Hunter is gonna get killed against pittsburgs D-line. we either gotta get Ducasse in or get Turner in there. This is one of the huge reasons Sanchez can't even get a play off and now he's starting to scramble way to much.
