Is Pryor more important to the D than Revis?

Given how dominant the Jets D was last week vs. Miami (until garbage time), can we make the argument that having Pryor back in there was more important than losing Revis?  If the Jets win this week I think maybe you could start to entertain the thought.  As far as strong safeties go, he's pretty darn good right now.  His ability to cover ground is up there as far as anyone in that position and he hits harder than anyone else, and legally most of the time too.

Safety play as a whole on the Jets is better this season. CP has been playing at a Pro Bowl level. He has been coached up maybe even schooled by Bowles. The Jets need both players you mentioned as starters.

CP can be even better if the Jets had more speed at the LB position IMO. CP has more upside.

It only seems that way because the safety depth on this team is not nearly as talented as the corner depth on this team. With Allen, Jarrett, Bailey, and Martin all out injured at safety there isn't much backing up Gilchrist and Pryor. Whereas the Jets can throw out a guy like Milliner, who was a 1st round pick and shown glimpses of talent, as their 7th best corner because of the way free agency and injuries played out.

No it's probably more to do with the level of competition.( how poor the Dolphins are playing).  Case in point see last year final against the Dolphins.    That was a really bad jet secondary that Dolphins made look really good.

The Giants have some weapons on offense, and will be a much better gage of c Pryor importance.

when Calvin does it consistently VS really good QBs then one can start evaluating him properly. So far jets have played the bottom of the barrel as far as QB's are concerned. Cindy being the only good QB the team has faced.

Derek Carr doesn't have to take a back seat to any Qb , the way he has played this year.   Has played at top level for most of the year.( only going to get better when the  Raider coaches take the reigns off him)

If we had more speed at LB, our front line would be more effective, and providing more opportunity to make plays on the ball for our CB's and S's.  JMO.

True, but Cindy, and Gronk did nothing prior to Pryor's injury, and lit it up after he left the game, might be coincidence, but it has to be taken into account.
