The Voice of Reason
What has gone relatively unnoticed is that Patriots didn't cut ANY of their RBs... I was hoping the Jets grabbed the one the shakes loose. 5 RBs and a full back is fairly unusual for a team, especially since they have kept 7 WRs as well. I wonder if they are going to do some trickery where they cut one around Friday to sign to PS on Saturday or something like that. Or since they only have 8 OL and 2 TEs that they will just wait till week 5 when Watson comes back to cut one.

jetstream23
Any reason this showed up on today's transaction list at NFL.com? Is this an administrative move or something related to a futures contract with Clark? I thought this was already done.

He was waived/injured so he reverted to IR when he cleared waivers. He probably wants a chance to play again this year, so reached an injury settlement with the Jets and was released from IR.

jetstream23
The listing Montgomery as a WR/KR, where does that come from? The Jets? I know his number (88) is a traditional WR # but I’ve seen him as RB2 on every depth chart.

#27TheDominator
Is Langi really starting on the outside? Strange - this was in his draft profile: Quote "Go back and watch him against UCLA and Michigan in 2015 and you will see what he might become at middle linebacker. I don't know why (BYU) put him on the edge this year because it didn't help them and it did the kid a real disservice." - NFC West area scout http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/harvey-langi?id=2558055

C Mart
Mike Tannenbaum @RealTannenbaum Don't be surprised to see a few more Veteran players cut between today and 4pm New York time tomorrow. While players on rosters after 4pm on Tuesday have earned a weekly game check, Veterans have their entire 2019 salary guaranteed if they're on a roster as of 4pm tomorrow.
