A Tuesday night news telecast tease promising a report on someone being out for this weekend's Dolphins-Jets game caught Dolphins defensive lineman Vonnie Holliday's attention. He hadn't heard of any Jets injuries. ''Then, I look up and it's this guy,'' Holliday said laughing. ``You have got to be kidding me. Reportedly, ''Fireman Ed'' Anzalone, the Jets most famous fan, had knee surgery and might be out for the season. He definitely won't be at Giants Stadium this week. ''Now, I want to know who's going to lead that charge?'' Holliday asked. ``Who's going to lead the `J-E-T-S? I spoke with the director of gameday operations and I asked if he could have the camera focus in on section 311 sunday. So watch for me to sit on my buddys shoulders with my hard hat to lead the cheers. If anyone has suggestions for Sunday he's open to them, Call the NYJ headquaters and ask for the driector of gameday operations, I think his name was Chris, I could be wrong.
