Yanks/Sawx; either the Yanks sweep-in which case 2 games back in the wildcard isn't all that bad over 20+ games.

Or forget it. 4 games (a 2-1 Ynak split)over 20-odd is asking too much. Either make up 3 games here and now, or pack it in.

That's the bottom line. If the Skanks sweep they're in the middle of the WC battle. Bostons hurting right now. Should be a good series like usual.

I read somewhere if the Sox played .500 ball (16-16 over final 32 games) then the Yankees would have to go 21-11. However, the sox are play .667 ball since the deadline.

And the Sox are hurting right now. Kei (Igawa) opportunity for the Yankees. If the rest of the season has been any indication we should see a couple of real tight ones. Still don't see a sweep either way.

NEED A GOD DAMN SWEEP! The pitching matchups are giving us the chance to sweep. We have to take advantage.

they are not giving us a sweep.. Lester is a yankee killer even tho moose is pitching he would have to be amazing with the way lester pitches to the yanks.. Byrd Vs ponson? ponson last pitched against bosox and got rocked.

so the pitching matchups are giving them the advantage.

i hope for a sweep but its hard and yanks def dont have advantage for sweep

Lester is FAR from a "Yankee killer" if there is such a thing. 2 good games against a team does not make you amazing. He's struggling as of late, and this is a perfect time to take advantage.

2 good games against a team doesn't make you amazing, but 1 bad outing makes you struggling of late? Nice logic.

Head to head that is a mismatch the yankees way as far as lineups. But they have to play the game to be corny.

Manny would have had a hit in that spot

Bay sends a little popper to right

I'll take it

When did Manny ever hit fifth? Right.

And don't complain about Remy. I have to put up with Michael Kay who just came in his dockers when Molina hit that single.

And Remy isn't the only one saying the Yanks might be done without a sweep.
