Steveg
Kemoeatu article... http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/mostread/s_594054.html
JMJ
I would love to have a 345 lb RG with a name that is actually spelled as: Kemo-eat-u
Green DNA
Kemoeatu article... http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/mostread/s_594054.html Interesting how the article mentions the ongoing friendship between Kemo and Faneca, hopefully that plays into the decision whether to come here (after the $). BTW at $4m per, we would get 2 years out of Kemo for the price of 1 with Moore. Seems like a solid move.
Ghost
I sure hope he accepts.
Stonehands
Let's not forget that Moore was part of some stinky lines in past years. I think we overrate him a bit based on his longevity. He was here for so long partially due to his bargain price. Believe it or not, he is slightly undersized for the position. How have we done on short yardage behind this road grader? jetsman
Even if we don't sign Kemoeatu...you don't pay Brandon friggin' Moore $8M for one season and leave the stage set for him to hold out in 2010. here here I second that statement

Ranger
anybody else a little nervous and/or superstitious about us signing another Pittsburgh FA with the name Kemo? yes, especially after watching Rothlesburger (never gonna spell that name right) run for his life all year. Ghost
No. I was scared at first, but I realized Kimo and Kemo are different.

Seems like a solid move. i will say that even at 5 mil/yr. this guy is probably, at worst, on par with moore. he's bigger and probably an upgrade at run blocking, but i don't know for sure. either way if we even get the same production at 3 mil/yr less and no worries about a hold-out next year i say it's a good move. Just sign him. That's what I say. Tanny cut Moore cause he didn't want to pay the $7 million RB, fine. Pay the Mad Hawaian less than that this year and get the deal done. But the Jets still have to outspend the Steelers and anyone else.

DMaynard
If we get this Komodo dragon guy, I also like the idea that we are not trying to move Woody to RG. Not that I don't think Woody would do well, but then you are changing 2/5 of the line, which is more risk to upset the chemistry.
stoicsentry
Sounds good. Only thing I don't like is that it seems like our O-line will continue to be mediocre in pass protection. Not desirable if you have an inexperienced QB behind center.
