Ben Roethlisberger Accused of Sexual Assault

Posted Mar 5th 2010 3:15PM by TMZ Staff

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault by a young woman in Georgia, TMZ has learned.

The alleged incident occurred early this morning at Capital City -- a club in Milledgeville, Georgia.

According to law enforcement sources, the alleged victim -- who has already been interviewed by police -- was treated at a local hospital and released.

We're told in addition to the alleged victim, witnesses are being interviewed -- and one law enforcement source says they will attempt to interview Roethlisberger.

In addition to the Milledgeville Police Dept, we've learned the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is also investigating.

Just another whore. In all likelihood at least.

Its the second time in less than a year that Rapistberger has been accused of sticking his peen in reluctant vaginae. Either he's really into dominating his subjects or he doesnt understand the concept of No.

Who? Handoffburger?

I think you are one of the more knowledgeable football fans on the NFL message boards around the internet, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why you think Big Ben is overrated.

One great game against Green Bay and one spectacular catch by Santonio Holmes doesn't win me over.

We can change his name to Rapeburger?

How about two Super Bowl championships and just last season a 4,000 passing yards season?

Worst SB perfomance by a QB in SB history + one great catch by Holmes.

Whooptie doo.

Over-rated and a rapist. Great combo!

Lets get this thread back on the topic of rape by a "superstar" QB.

Let's discount the perfect pass in which he put it in between 3 Arizona Cardinals. And the previous plays that led to the game winning play.

good point.

Srsly though, all you need to do is flash your NFl player card and whores will line up to blow your brain out. Check out Chris Johnson for example, you think he could bang these plastic whores if he wasnt in the NFL and didnt have a million dollars. Surely they're not banging him for his intellectual capabilities.

Unlikely, for the reasons you gave in an earlier post (100M man, SB champ).

More likely: HO does #7 willingly, #7 then blows her off, HO gets mad.

As if this first day of the 2010 league year wasn't sufficiently hectic, one of the more ugly situations from the 2009 league year suddenly has migrated back onto the front burner.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault. Again.

TMZ reports that the alleged incident allegedly occurred (allegedly) early Friday in Milledgeville, Georgia, a town that when you say it sounds a little like "Allegedville."

The alleged victim and witnesses are being interviewed, and police have interviewed Roethlisberger.

Per TMZ, no charges have been filed yet.

Even if he's cleared, the fact that Big Ben would put himself in position to be on the wrong end of these allegations given everything he has experienced in Nevada makes us think that, yes, he really is as dumb as he looks.

And if you don't know what we're talking about regarding Nevada, we're glad that you have emerged from your coma. Please type "Roethlisberger" and "sexual" in the search box and you'll quickly be up to speed.

The difference this time around is that the alleged victim didn't wait a year to make the claim. She didn't even wait a day.

I heard a guy on TV say once that the two greatest aphrodisiacs in the world are money and power. Add in a muscular athletic body to boot, and these guys shouldn't have to force themselves on anybody.

Here's the story from last July on Roethlisberger's first case, just to refresh your memories.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger RENO, Nev. -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by a woman in Nevada. According to online court records, a defamation lawsuit was filed in Washoe County on Friday. Andrea McNulty is listed as the plaintiff.

Details of the suit were not available late Monday night. Roethlisberger was one of nine defendants listed in the online court docket report.

Roethlisberger's attorney released a statement to several media outlets Monday night saying the two-time Super Bowl winner was accused of sexual assault in the lawsuit by McNulty. Atlanta-based attorney David Cornwell denied Roethlisberger sexually assaulted McNulty.

"This weekend Andrea McNulty served Ben Roethlisberger with a civil complaint accusing him of sexually assaulting her in July 2008. Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone, especially Andrea McNulty. The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct. If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated," Cornwell said.

A phone message and e-mail from the AP to Cornwell were not immediately returned.

Attorney Calvin R. Dunlap, of Reno, filed the suit, according to court documents. A telephone message left for him was not immediately returned.

In the suit, the woman accuses Roethlisberger of raping her last summer in his penthouse room at a casino in Lake Tahoe during a celebrity golf tournament. Roethlisberger's lawyer adamantly denied the allegations Tuesday.

The claim seeks at least $390,000 in damages from the quarterback, who has won two Super Bowls and is one of biggest names in sports. The lawsuit also alleges hotel officials for Harrah's Lake Tahoe went to great lengths to cover up the incident.

Teresa Duffy, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office in Douglas County, which includes part of Lake Tahoe, said no complaints were filed about such an incident either with sheriff's deputies or the district attorney's office.

The woman's lawsuit says she didn't file a criminal complaint because she feared she would be fired and expected Harrah's would side with Roethlisberger. The woman said she had been promoted from VIP shift manager and was working as an executive casino host when Roethlisberger struck up a friendly conversation at her desk during the golf tournament.

The next day, July 11, 2008, she said he telephoned her to tell her his television sound system wasn't working and asked her to look at it. She said she was unable to find a technician so she decided to handle it herself because she had been told how important it was to please celebrities.

In Roethlisberger's room, she said, she determined the TV was functioning properly but as she turned to leave but the 6-foot-5, 240-pound quarterback stood in front of the day and blocked her, the suit claims. The lawsuit said he then grabbed her and started to kiss her. It said she was "shocked and stunned that this previously friendly man, that appeared to be a gentleman in her previous contacts with him was suddenly preventing her from leaving, was assaulting her and battering her."

She said she feared that because he was a football player he could or would physically harm her if she tried to fight him off but that she objected and protested several times. "But instead of stopping, Roethlisberger began fondling plaintiff through her dress and between her legs," the suit said. He then "held her against her will and physically moved plaintiff and pushed her onto his bed" here he raped her, the suit says. <

The lawsuit says the woman required hospitalization for treatment for depression after the alleged attack. The woman's lawyer, Calvin R. Dunlap, of Reno, declined to answer questions about the lack of a criminal complaint and why the civil action was brought a year after the incident allegedly took place.

"Neither I nor our client will be making any comment," Dunlap said in an e-mail to AP. "We believe the matter should be resolved in court rather than in the media."

The lawsuit also names eight Harrah's employees as defendants and alleges the cover-up involved the chief of security at Harrah's Lake Tahoe and was carried out with the knowledge of John Koster, president of Harrah's northern Nevada operations.

Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett said Tuesday the team is aware of the lawsuit, and "we are gathering information."

Wow. Big Ben is accused of rape. RAPE. AGAIN. That's right RAPE and all anybody wants to discuss is how well he throws a pass, is over/underrated and how the women he RAPED probably wanted it in the first place. Wow. Gag.

This women was treated in a hospital right after the alleged attack. They might actually have some DNA evidence. If so I suspect he will be in big trouble. If not it's her word against his.
