Bench Drew Coleman!

Another Jet fan who's been wronged by a Jet? What'd this one do to you?

Brian Schottenheimer ran over at least two or three people's cats here...I think they formed one of those talk it out groups to help each other out...maybe you can join?

Coleman had his best season this year.

Hello? Are you sniffing glue? His coverage skills suck. Have you been watching who most passes are completed against?

The Pats will target him all game long.

They used him against Manning, they'll use him against Brady.

PS: The coverage skills of Wilson and Cole are also "suck", but we'll live with that we have. They can't sign Asomugha for this game.

I haven't seen Cole beat too often this year. True, he has not played a whole lot, but he has certainly made the most of it when he has. Coleman has definitely improved this year, but he was horrible previously. So he is less awful.

Who're other teams supposed to complete passes again? Revis and Cromartie?

Cole makes a couple plays against the Steelers, including the highly public last play, and he's the next stah...I don't buy it.

I thought Schotty ran over my cat, but it turns out she was just hiding.

And two picks (including a pick 6) against the Bills and played well when he got in against the Colts.

Really don't even see how you can hate on Coleman. He's been solid as a nickel or dime this year and in general the times that he's been beat are when the pass rush decided to let the QB have a snack in the pocket for a few before deciding to throw. And to be honest there's only 2 corners in the league who can hold their coverage for that long.

Exactly. He's certainly not great, but for a #3/4/5 CB he's played pretty damn well this season. When one of the only two guys in the league who you're referring to are on the same team as you, QBs are going to be throwing your way that much more often. The biggest problem he's got at this point is his size, because there are certain guys he simply can't match up against, but then again if he was a complete player he wouldn't be buried on the depth chart of the Jets and having multiple players brought in above him on a yearly basis. He's probably the fastest guy on this team, and it served him well with his blitzing towards the end of the season and has shown an unbelievable improvement in coverage this past season. A teams depth CBs are ever only going to be so good, and they're all going to get beat. When your team has a struggling pass rush, those issues will only be compounded and when your starting corners are as good as the Jets, you're going to see those guys get tested that much more often.

Drew Coleman doesn't suck. He's actually stuffed MANY 3rd downs this year. He's coming off his best season no doubt. (Lowery and Wilson have had decent seasons as well)

The reason it seems coleman is getting "picked on" is simply because Cro and Revis are so damn stingy. Eric Smith is another one. These nickel/dime guys are always in on passing downs and most QB's know where to go against the two 1 2 CB in the league. Basically they are getting the play everytime out (kind of lol)

As a result, though, those guys have also made some key plays for us over yje season. I remember a Lowery INT to end a game..

Our secondary is not the problem. The pats are the problem

You have to go watch some game tape then. His guys are beating him right off the line. Half the time he isn't even in the picture when the receiver makes the grab. The only reason they don't get the ball right away is because they are usually a 3rd progression. Yeah he's made some nice plays on the blitz and maybe has improved over last year, but he still is horrible in coverage. Much rather see Wilson stick those guys and live with what happens. He seems to have a better understanding of the D now, and when to turn and look for ball.

Please stop hijacking this thread with all of that "football" nonsense. We have yet to determine who it was that ****ed Brooklyn's cat. Thank you.
