SouthernJet
hard to predict what record will be until we know if Idzik is fixing things with Longterm approach (gut 2013/cap/trade starters etc) or try and salvage a playoff spot in 2013. I think he is in for long run so I'll venture 4-12 at best.

Anyone doing that has been more right that wrong for 43 years. But predicting a loss to the Dolphins is the cheap kick in the nads!

kelly
Jets will have league's 19th-toughest schedule in 2013 The Jets will try and rebound from their worst season under Rex Ryan with the 19th toughest schedule in the league next year, according to NFL.com.The league site ranked the toughest schedules starting with Carolina, who will face teams with a combined record of 138-116-2 from 2012. The Denver Broncos have it the easiest, playing teams with a record of 110-146. Nice to be Peyton Manning, eh? Anyway, here's what the Jets are looking at opponent-wise: Home — Buffalo, Miami, New England, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Oakland, New Orleans, Tampa Bay. Away — Buffalo, Miami, New England, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Atlanta, Carolina. That leaves them 19th, tied with the Philadelphia Eagles. Not a bad place to start for John Idzik and Co. Here's the list from NFL.com in case anyone is interested. Carolina Panthers -- .543 -- 138-116-2 Detroit Lions -- .539 -- 138 -118-0 New Orleans Saints -- .539 -- 137-117-2 St. Louis Rams -- .539 -- 137-117-2 Baltimore Ravens -- .535 -- 137-119-0 Green Bay Packers -- .533 -- 136-119-1 Arizona Cardinals -- .520 -- 131-121-4 Miami Dolphins -- .520 -- 133-123-0 San Francisco 49ers -- .520 -- 132-122-2 Minnesota Vikings -- .516 -- 132-124-0 Seattle Seahawks -- .516 -- 130-122-4 Cincinnati Bengals -- .508 -- 130-126-0 Jacksonville Jaguars -- .508 -- 129-125-2 New England Patriots -- .508 -- 130-126-0 Atlanta Falcons -- .504 -- 128-126-0 Chicago Bears -- .502 -- 128-127-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- .500 -- 127-127-2 Washington Redskins -- .498 -- 127-128-1 New York Jets -- .496 -- 127-129-0 Philadelphia Eagles -- .496 -- 127-129-0 Cleveland Browns -- .492 -- 126-130-0 Pittsburgh Steelers -- .496 -- 126-130-0 Tennessee Titans -- .488 -- 124-130-2 New York Giants -- .480 -- 123-133-0 Dallas Cowboys -- .480 -- 121-134-1 Buffalo Bills -- .473 -- 121-135-0 Houston Texans -- .473 -- 120-134-2 Kansas City Chiefs -- .473 -- 121-135-0 Oakland Raiders -- .469 -- 120-136-0 Indianapolis Colts -- .461 -- 117-137-2 San Diego Chargers -- .457 -- 117-139-0 Denver Broncos -- .430 -- 110-146-0 > http://www.nj.com/je...es_19th-to.html

T0mShane
It's got six and ten written all over it (Beating the Bills twice, split with Miami, beat the Raiders, Browns, and Titans). It'll be enough to fire Rex and sweep out the rest of the dead weight, but not bad enough to be in position to draft Bridgewater, should he prove to be legit. I think we'll also have one of those years where bad teams start throwing games to get in position for Clowney, so seven or eight wins could happen as a result, with lock playoff teams not showing up the last two weeks of the season because half of their divisions quit in November. jack48
As of now, and assuming we have a QB with a football IQ over 80--I am still only seeing 7 or 8 wins and that is optimistically. With Sanchez, we are off the charts. Let's see how the draft and free agency go, though.
