Rex Risks Losing Team With Geno Decision

While Geno is awful and I get the overall point of those fed up with him, there is some absurdity in the idea that Sanchez got nearly 4 full years of sucking before getting pulled and yet there are numerous attempts act as if it's an identical situation 11 games into his career.  That doesn't mean Geno deserves to keep his job for another 3 years (or even the rest of the season) because the Jets moronically did that last time around, but it's really not at all comparable.  And unlike with a season or two with Sanchez, I don't think there's a single person out there who believes this team is championship-ready if not for the QB.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Sanchez remained the starter because he was unflappable in the playoffs and they had more success in his first 2 years than you've seen since 1998.  I keep hearing about the juggernaut offense he supposedly had but that doesn't change the fact he himself played great ball.

You have any hope that if we somehow sneak into the playoffs that Geno is capable of upping the ante?  I certainly don't.

The GM didn't have the right to fire him right away, why is it assumed that he has the right to decide whether he gets a new contract?

As long as we're making decisions on things we can't possibly know anything about...

this is a brainbuster of a question and the key phrase is "right away"

he wasn't allowed to fire him right away. But he could fire him later. And this creates a dicey problem for Rex and how he handle's Idzik's QB.

Well enough about Sanchez- he is out of the equation for the better. We still need a QB that can be competent enough to make some plays and give us a chance to win with a good not great defense presently constructed.

That is why I will say give Simms a chance to show what he can or can not do in a meaningful game not mopup time. Your backup is always the savior until he plays. If Rex  has the team collapse down the stretch where we have some winnable games he will not have to worry about the offense or QB here.

Other than you jumping on another opportunity to choke on Sanchez's dick, what the hell does any of this have to do with my point?  Or in any way relate Sanchez's fourth season to 10 games of Geno's rookie year?  It doesn't, not at all.

These are all assumptions.  For all we know, Woody makes the call again.

That's my point about all of these arguments.  We can talk about Geno's performance, we can talk about Milliner's performance, because we can see them.  When we start getting into the behind the scenes minutia, we are pulling quotes from biased reporters who we know to cherry pick soundbytes to further their agenda, and then we're filling in the blanks with our agenda.

In other words, most of the "off field" debate that goes on here, is pretty much 90% biased agenda.

Pointing out your hypocrisy.  You claim people like Smash and myself jump to defend Sanchez or Pennington (like you just did above) when in reality you can't go more than a day without somehow trying to besmirch them.  I'm no shrink but looks like a classic case of a closeted fag having trouble understanding why Sanchez makes him feel funny down there.

It manifests itself in anger and accusing anyone who defends him of having the types of thought you yourself are feeling.

That diagnosis will cost you $5 payable via Pay Pal.

Hey Doc, Do you have anything for curing someone who is becoming a serious alcoholic, watching Geno play the QB position? I find myself adding another shot after every throw I watch him make.

Please help me.

Actually, the article, and numerous posts afterward, specifically made a comparison of Geno's current season to Sanchez's last year; I simply responded to the flaw in that logic.  So while I made a point relevant to the topic at hand, you cannot put together a coherent thought as you rant and rave every time you fear someone might be "besmirching" (seriously?) one of the men you hold so dearly.  These posts said far more about your frighteningly creepy obsessions than it did about me, I can promise you that.

Spend the hour immediately before and after the game having an internet porn party.  Spend some quality time with yourself.

I can recommend a couple sites for the straight stuff but if you're looking for anything funny, you'll have to ask CTM.

You dare besmirch me?

that's fair. going purely on Geno's performance I can't believe he's still being trotted out on the field as a starter.

The whole team besides the DLine is pretty much an abortion.  There's a lot of guys I'd bench if there was someone else worthwhile.  I don't see Matt Simms as that either though.

Yup, I've been saying for weeks, this team only has 6-8 players TOPS that would be starters on most teams. 3 of them on the DL.

Team full of unfulfilled potential and street free agents. Getting to 5 wins was a criminal thing to do to this naive, reality-blind fan base.

How long before Mornhinweg comes out and throws Geno under the bus? I mean let's face it, Marty's got to be looking at his last meaningful gig here. Reid, the probable coach of the year didn't bring him along, and the NYJ numbers speak for themselves. I'm guessing very soon after his firing, which I will go ahead and guess comes shortly after season end. The fact that Rex picked him up this year should've been his Kiss of Death writing on the wall...see Sporano, Anthony

I couldn't disagree more. The season is over for Geno. How could you watch Sanchez last year, draw the comparison and then say, keep him in. Are you ******* nuts Carl????

Because Sanchez had 4 years to be "done" here and Geno has only had 11 games. Might as well stick with him. Simms isn't worth starting, much like McElroy wasn't.

Are you quoting yourself, you egotistical sociopath?

You know what I'm referencing... and check yourself, I'm only egotistical, not a sociopath. I would totally feel remorseful about peeling off your skin and replacing it with those CoExist bumper stickers.
