Eric Decker takes high road while Rex rips Schlereth

You're missing my point.

Decker has never went up against #1 CB's in his entire career.

That's just not true.

Most teams give their #1 CB a side. Revis is one of the very few corners that shadows, even Richard Sherman takes a side and stays there. Decker, I'm sure, has been on the side with the #1 CB plenty of times.

So... you have no point, because you don't check your facts.

Decker had 44 catches and 8 tds in 2011 from QB's Tebow and Orton in his 2nd year.. 1st rd pick Demaryius Thomas also in his 2nd year had 32 with 5 tds.. And Decker also had a 90 yd punt return. :jawdrop:

It's like people take cliches and just apply them to players, coaches, teams, etc depending on what argument they'd like to prove without any thought.

The guy has been productive with more than a QB named Manning. To just say he will struggle because he's not with Manning is wishful thinking, nothing in his history says this will be true.

Decker has a ton a doubters including me. He has to prove he's a legitimate number 1.

Don't think he has a "ton of doubters" or has to prove he's a number 1. When did this whole stupid number 1 thing even start? Toon, Walker, Key, which were called number 1s. When did anyone say they had to perform as a 1 because they were the highest paid WRs on the team?

Bingo. These things become cliche's and "fact" very fast these days.

You have a number one, a two and a three, ideally. That equals a six. So, I'll take three number twos. WR corp fixed. Oh wait, how about a four and two ones? How would you fare with that? Is Jimmy Graham a number one? No wait, he's a tight end. The Eagles have Maclin, is he their number one? Doesn't feel like a number one, especially coming off of surgery. They're doomed.

Yes there's a ton of doubters.

Yes he has to prove he can still make plays being guarded by the best CB and prove he's worth the money.

No idea when it started.

Some teams have a obvious number 1 like Detroit, other teams like Seattle don't. If Decker can't be the main go to guy then they'll have to spread the ball around more and depend on Curly Fries, Amaro and the RBs. Detroit sucks and Seattle won the SB so maybe it's a good thing not to have a definite number 1.

Tell that to Jarrett Boykin who spent all game with Richard Sherman on him Thursday.  No team exclusively lines up a Nickel or LB on the third or fourth WR just like they don't always have their top CB shadow the opposing team's #1 WR.  Decker saw plenty of coverage last year from top CBs, this whole message just seemed very bitter.  Sure, Decker will see more attention now that he doesn't have the Demyrius and Julius opposite him, but he's not going to have his production fall by 60% or whatever Stink was suggesting.

Who is Jarrett Boykin?

Again, which teams didn't or did put their #1 corner on him in Denver? Because I don't know which teams switch corners from one WR to another. Revis is a rarity which says it doesn't happen often which kills that theory of why he could struggle.

Schlereth also said that "Ray Rice will find his mojo against a weak Jet defense" last year. Pretty sure he had 30 yards on like 20 attempts.

He has that job because he was a good football player. His comments are not comments of someone who would normally be capable of an "NFL Insider" position. He's taking the easy way out and choosing to not watch Decker on tape. Irrelevant statement.
