joewilly12
Hate to say it but not in the same league as Watt and Suh NASHVILLE — The Jets on Saturday downgraded defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson to out for Sunday's game at the Titans because of a toe injury. Wilkerson, the Jets' best player, did not even make the trip to Nashville, the team announced. That Wilkerson was declared out is not much of a surprise; he had been listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report, and head coach Rex Ryan had said he was not optimistic about Wilkerson's chances of playing, just one day after Ryan said Wilkerson had a 50/50 shot at being able to go. It will be the third consecutive game Wilkerson has missed because of the toe injury, which has been described as turf toe. Outside linebacker Quinton Coples is again expected to start in Wilkerson's place, with Jason Babin manning Coples's linebacker spot.

bitonti
why bash a guy for getting hurt? It's a tough game. He and Sheldon are the team's only blue chip players. There's no need to bash Mo.

BurnleyJet
I'm thinking Q Played OK at D.E, perhaps trade Mo for a 1st and a third...
CrazyCarl40
Not bashing Mo making a factual statement Your opinion cannot be a factual statement. That's not how it works. Especially since you're basing it on the fact that he's hurt.

DaBallhawk
Hate to say it but not in the same league as Watt and Suh What a dumb statement. Forget the fact that this guy hasn't missed a game in 4 years since we drafted him until he hurt his leg a couple weeks ago, what the hell does that have to do with him being better/worse than Watt? He wasn't as good as Watt to begin with, hurt or not.

Gas2No99
If I recall correctly, Turf Toe is a pretty severe and lingering injury that takes a while to heal properly. Better to shut him down and prep him for next season. Why risk exacerbating a burgeoning young talent's injury in what will be a contract year for him in 2015? Turf Toe is a very serious injury with lingering effects.
artemusclyde
One of our best players coming through when we need him to. Him and Folk are definitely on board with us getting Mariota.

Rex is coaching for his job, Idzik is trying to save his ass. At this point they'll do anything in their power to make sure they win games and get the guys on the field instead of doing the smart thing and shutting them down for their own good. JetsFanatic
I wouldn't play Mo for the remainder of the season, let the turf toe heal completely, it's not like we are making a playoff push. I also wouldn't rush HArvin back for today's game against the Titans.
Jetdawgg
Injuries have devastated this team. There are players here who have not quit despite the FO debacle. Minny was able to run the ball a bit more than normal last week due to Mo being out. Time to play the young LB and see if he can add an injection of speed today. redman81
Def no reason to play him anymore this yr and risk injury. Sit him and have him healthy for camp.
