That's pretty funny coming from a guy who has never played in a playoff game.

You always reset the context immediately to protect your insecure nature.

That's what happens when you have little to no pecker, and you rely on a cheating football team to prove your worth

Most teams and players have a tough enough time beating Bill Belichick from September to February on the actual football field, so maybe that's why they're using the offseason to take shots at the Patriots' head coach on a platform that Belichick certainly doesn't visit. Twitter is now officially the best place to get the upper hand on The Hoodie.

Earlier this week, Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams alleged on Twitter that Tom Brady is the only player who likes Belichick. Tuesday night was Brandon Marshall's (the Jetsreceiver, not the Broncos linebacker) turn to use Twitter to burn Belichick.

Here's what Marshall had to say.

Now, before we get to the actual numbers, let's take a moment to acknowledge that valiant and clever effort by Mark Doherty, who probably assumed that Marshall wouldn't reply to his tweet and, therefore, would be silently acknowledging that Belichick does, in fact, haunt his dreams. But Marshall didn't fall for the ruse.

OK, onto the numbers. Here's how Marshall has fared against Belichick's Patriots over the years.

BRANDON MARSHALL VS. BILL BELICHICK'S PATRIOTS
TEAM HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORD CATCHES RECEIVING YARDS RECEIVING TDS
Denver 2-1 14 141 2
Miami 0-4 23 429 1
Chicago 0-1 3 35 0
New York (Jets) 1-1 12 182 2
Overall 3-7 52 787 5

On average, those numbers come down to 5.2 catches, 78.7 yards, and 0.5 touchdowns per game. If Marshall averaged those numbers over the course of an entire 16-game season, he'd bring down roughly 83 receptions, 1,259 yards, and eight touchdowns. In his career, Marshall averages 88.2 catches, 1,127.3 yards, and 7.9 touchdowns per season. So, his statline against the Patriots is pretty much on par with his career numbers.

Plus, against the Patriots in Week 16, Marshall caught two touchdowns to lead the Jets past the Patriots.

Then again, Marshall was partly responsible for the Jets' loss to the Patriots earlier in the season, when he dropped a touchdown and was flagged for a false start in the final seconds of the game, which resulted in a 10-second runoff and led to this tweet.

But, just based on his individual stats, Marshall certainly has a case. Patriots fans will (and should) point to his 3-7 record, but let's remember that Marshall's played for plenty of mediocre and bad teams. After all, Marshall's never even qualified for the postseason in his 10 seasons. In that time span, Belichick's been to the playoffs nine times.

Bottom line: Marshall's been good against Belichick, but Marshall's failed to win against him -- like pretty much every other player in the league. Whether or not that qualifies as "owning" Belichick, well, that's for you to decide.

So, as Belichick would say, onto the comments section!
