I listed and voted 80 because he kept saying he was symp. At least 3 times he said it. So finally I said, well I guess we should believe you.

I had AVM after AJ explained his reason was AVM piled on the 4th vote without any reasoning. Made sense but I liked 80 better. Once AVM gave his reasoning I really didn't like it. I never got off of 80, unfortunately.

I still don't understand why he didn't just fully counter claim. It was an open setup, the only way he could possibly know AJ was lying is if he (80) was scum or the tracker. Plus the editing posts. Made a mess of it when it should have been a clear decision.

I guess he just didn't want to fully counter claim because he would have just been NK'd in the next couple of days. But - that probably would have happened anyway at that point even if he wasn't lynched. Only 80 knows.

Odds are actually pretty strong we don’t come out the same, and we likely would have been in a far worse position. Again, scum doesn’t kill the symp (most likely outcome) and the vig hits town (also most likely outcome) and we’re down 3-0 right now. We get nowhere near the same info we’d get from lynching the townie the vig killed, and everyone just speed lynches AJ today, scum included, so we get limited info out of that. Then scum picks off another townie at night and we’re down 4-1 with limited info to go off of. That’s the absolute optimal scenario for scum, and you wanted it to happen.

Also tried to start thinking about the possibility that JiF didn't name scum (at least one) and their shot was not out of fear, but hunting for a town PR...but...

Not sure why they would want to hunt for the bodyguard with 80 out. I suppose Vig is possible but other than the near lock shot on AJ which I imagine would have taken place regardless of them targeting the Vig (concurrent NA's?) the Vig is more likely to hit town for a bit than scum. So it doesn't feel like PR hunting makes sense, I don't think.

Killing confirmed scum is always the priority.  Letting AJ live and possibly killing town prolongs the game in scum's favor.

We get nowhere near the same info we’d get from lynching the townie the vig killed, and everyone just speed lynches AJ today, scum included, so we get limited info out of that. Then scum picks off another townie at night and we’re down 4-1 with limited info to go off of. That’s the absolute optimal scenario for scum, and you wanted it to happen.
