Conflicted bc I agree with this take - that the award is pretty much a joke...

But will take the accolades for any player on the Jets.  Its been a while since we had homegrown national names... and these awards help build the player's myth, legend, and name recognition.  And should help with Pro Bowl voting this year and in the future.

You forgot the scene at Roscoe's Diner in 3 years when JD is trying to sign Sauce and GW to new contracts and their agents are saying "remember when they won all those Pepsi RotW belts?  Each one will cost another $100k/season".
