Rodgers hasnt played well narrative is silly

He was pretty bad on Sunday.  3 picks, one of which resulted in 7 points against.  Another coming with the game on the line in Rodgers' biggest spot so far as a Jet.  Plus the fact he missed Wilson on what should have been an easy TD for the lead.  Garrett toasted his defender and had an easy TD with a halfway decent throw, and Rodgers overthrew him by like 10 yards.  Still would have been 1:36 left at that point but I would have taken my chances being able to shut down Darnold in a big spot.  

Lot of ugly with that game, but the most concerning to me was easily how Rodgers played.

Impossible to disagree. He had one good game out of 5. The ball was in his hands with a chance to win the game, and he threw the INT to end the game. He did not have to rush as there was plenty of time and a time out.  Rodgers can blame this or that, but as the real Jets GM and qb, he should have shown way more. He appears more interested in making offseason news rather than concentrate on football.

You’re comparing a guy in his prime to a guy at the end of his career for starters. Yes I know what they make is very similar. But that’s bc Mahomes is signed long term and he’s decided to move money around.

 

Fact is is that Rodgers is being paid like an average nfl QB. And that’s about what he’s been. So he’s not this guy vastly underperforming right now. There’s tons of QBs being paid more than he is and doing worse.

That is complete revisionist history.  It's been two years of hearing about Rodgers the Savior, that he's still that same guy.

You don't trade, what they hoped would be, a 1st round pick, a 2nd round pick and more for a mediocre QB.

Maybe he gets better, I sure hope he does - but please let's not pretend the expectations were what we're getting.

Im all for Adams by the way - adding good players always helps BUT

Lazard - a drop machine - accurate - that is why a WR3 should not be given WR2 or WR 1 work load.

Williams - He should be ready for full time - he need to get the Lazard routes.

Gipson - He is WR4 and relatively alot better than other WR4's , but he is going to fail if make a feature of the program

Corley - Guy is a stud, just not used.

Conklin- Bro all the TE's are JAGs. And he is fine as that.

yeah im with you, but wilson has been a let down this year, but I dont blame him, look at his usage this year. He has had one game where he was targeted and even then not on game deciding plays. 

He should be the first look every time until adams is signed. His talent is great. Williams is good WR2.

One issue with offensive play calling is I think it should really be a 50/50 split between Allen and Hall.  Hall has been atrocious

Better pass protection and a run game are needed for Rodgers to Wilson to work.  They’re figuring things out as evident by Wilson having 12 catches against the Vikings.  But the jets can not expect to win many games if Rodgers has to throw 54 passes.

Rodgers just needs an oline. Rodgers just needs his own coach. Rodgers just needs Lazard and Cobb. No, wait he just needs Davante Adams. Rodgers just needs some ayahuasca at halftime. At what point do you realize there are other QBs doing more with less and that Rodgers is a shell of what he was because of age and injury? This team will be rid of Rodgers sooner than later and needs to focus on the future.

Sunday he was an issue. All 3 INTs on him.

 

But in general you’re not wrong.

OL has been garbage and there’s been no run game. Hard to play good at QB unless you’re crazy athletic like Daniels if yoir OL has you running 20 times a game. Add that the defense doesn’t have to worry about the run… and that’s what we’ve seen these last 2 weeks.

 

We see what this O can look like when playing at the level that should be its standard against NE. All phases working.

Quite frankly guys need to be benched or embarrassed behind close doors.

Ya there’s some guys who we just can’t bench bc of different reasons….. but there’s only a few of those on offense.
