Green DNA
That's nice and well deserved but it seems as if there about 500 people stay in their seats for these half time ceremonies. Hopefully things will be different for Wayne that they were for Mo Lewis / Marvin Jones and the 35 year SB team reunion ( We're closing in on 40 years). CrazyCarl40
I hope they show his highlights from the "Monday night miracle" game so Jason Taylor can watch it. Nothing like seeing a grown-ass man crying on national tv. In all seriousness though, it will be a nice thing to see. He deserves it. I'll have to dig out the #80 jersey, as old and tattered as it is.
ECURB
Dont take this the wrong way anybody... I love wayne... if I go to that game... I will be wearing my Chrebet... just to give another perspective though... If they are going to celebrate Wayne... they should celebrate Curtis and some other players at the same time... Wayne was a good solid player... but I dont think he was great enough to warrant such special attention... He only had 1000 yards once... his career average is 669 yards per year.... his career average is 13.8 games played per year... he only has 2 post season TD's... both in the Oakland loss.... he is not in the top 50 for any major category... he was a good TD target for Chad in 02 and a good target for vinny in 98' other than those seasons he was just another receiver... countless WR's have matched or beaten his stats... I just hope the JETS give Coles a big celebration too... he is catching up to Chrebet quick... he is more durable and just as reliable to make the big catch on 3rd down... OK now that I feel dirty typing that about Wayne... lol

You the extra camera guy at a porno shoot that just has to get that close up of the dude's balls flapping around wildly from behind, just for the sake of another point of view As to Wayne, he's not a HOF WR, nor is he even close. He is a great story of overcoming all odds to makie an NFL team, and then played as hard as anyone possibly could and played his role magnificently. WEhen we needed a 1st down, Wayne was the guy to go to. That was his role, and he excelled at it. Nothing to put him in Canton over, but certainly worth the honor from the team. CMart will get his as well.

JayKwaz
this reginme since Woody took over seems to look more at the the family that the team has become and want to pay tribute to guys who helped build what we have even if is a little sense of pride. From Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones night, to the Sack Exchange. I feel we will see more and more tibutes in years to come.

You do know that not only is he a born and bred jet, he is also a hometown kid, and undrafted rook out of hofstra and an allaround great jets story.
