124
http://utahutes.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/sakoda_louie00.html I introduce to you the Jets 3rd/4th round selection (he's projected to go in either round) in the 2009 NFL Draft, K out of Utah (hey Ratliff loves, don't cream), Louie Sakoda. Louie was both the Kicker AND Punter for the Utes the past three seasons and to my knowledge the Jets do not have a kicker or punter on the roster. Kicking ~ 137-140 on PAT's ~ 57-66 on FG's (long of 53) -- 22 of 24 in 2008 Punting ~ 242 punts, 10188 yards (average of 42.1 yards) ~ Long punt of 81 yards ~ 104 of 242 punts inside the
aec4
no 3rd or 4th rounders on kickers please. Sign Feely and deal with it.
124
no 3rd or 4th rounders on kickers please. Sign Feely and deal with it. Rex Ryan plans to win games with running the ball and defense, so there will be many 13-10 type games. Do you really trust Jay Feely to win those games for you? I sure as hell don't. The way we are picking up depth via Free Agency will allow us to use one of our six draft picks on a kicker, a 4th rounder more likely.
Sharrow
Why don't we just take him in the 2nd? **** it.

The Gun Of Bavaria
124, be careful. Between Nugent and Justin Miller, Tannenbaum will go completely opposite of any player you call the 2nd coming of god.

Justin Miller is an awesome KR. Man I was so pumped after getting both of them.... didn't think it was possible... OY!
SayNoToDMC
Why don't we just take him in the 2nd? **** it. And then trade our first rounder for Chris Baker's replacement and we're set. I definitely think if we are going to take a kicker in round 2 tho it needs to be David Buehler tho. He's the only one worth it he can run a 4.6 40 and benched 225 for 25 reps. I don't plan on trusting a rookie to do it, that's for sure, especially if I have to spend a 4th rounder on it.

AdropOFvenom
Sakoda will be lucky to go in the 6th round, that'd be a horrible reach. As for the idea of drafting a kicker, I'm more then content re-signing either Nugent or Feely, I'd probably choose which by whoever comes cheaper. Nugent might not have been worth what we invested in him, but he was pretty solid back there. And Feely did great stepping in for him last year. Bergen Jet
when we drafted nugent what type of players did we pass on? You can start pointing out who wasn't drafted with just about EVERY pick ever made in the draft. We could have ended up with Justin Tuck but we also could have ended up with Odell Thurman or Eric Shelton...

Bergen Jet
he DID have a great porn star moustache though Tyson... ... to me all a punter needs is a foreign name and a porn 'stache. Louie had both. He also raised his net punting average by a hell of a lot once he got away from the swirling Meadowland winds... then proceeded to suck when he went to the frozen tundra and the windy city.
