Morrissey 12,992 #2 Posted April 19, 2009 3 left handed pitchers, God damn, I doubt any of our hitters have seen these guys before.

DLJ 152,432 #4 Posted April 19, 2009 You should post the pitchers records along with their names when you make game threads.

Morrissey 12,992 #6 Posted April 19, 2009 I'd like to think Giambi will get a nice ovation I can see him hitting 5 home runs in this series. He left 1 year to early, he'd LOVE this ballpark.
Morrissey 12,992 #7 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) You should post the pitchers records along with their names when you make game threads. I think it's too early to worry, or make any conclusions about records and earned run average, but I posted them for you anyway. DLJ 152,432 #8 Posted April 19, 2009 I think it's too early to worry, or make any conclusions about records and earned run average this early in the season, but I posted them for you anyway. Im kind of a pitching geek. Either way, I just wanna see what the guys we're going up against has done so far.
Morrissey 12,992 #9 Posted April 19, 2009 Im kind of a pitching geek. Either way, I just wanna see what the guys we're going up against has done so far. 21 year old Brett Anderson is 0-2, but he got nasty stuff, he could shut down our lineup. We could really use A-Rod in this series, with all those left handers.
JonEJet 61,506 #10 Posted April 19, 2009 I was one of the biggest Giambi backers there was But he was done in NY
Morrissey 12,992 #11 Posted April 19, 2009 I was one of the biggest Giambi backers there was But he was done in NY Oh, I know.. I wasn't exactly a Giambi backer, I hated how he became a pull hitter when he came here, he wasn't the first time he was in Oakland, but I was just saying, the way the wind is blowing at the new stadium, Giambi could of hit 40-45 every year. DaBrick Wall 4,985 #12 Posted April 19, 2009 I loved the commercial YES had for the upcoming series. "The Yankees face an old friend..." Then they show Giambi...and then they show him striking out. LOL
MagicBizkit87 7,087 #13 Posted April 20, 2009 This team basically got shutdown by Carl Pavano, I could only imagine what these 3 lefties will do to make our team look silly like Pavano did.

Maxman 538,671 #15 Posted April 20, 2009 I like these preview threads, thanks TD. I wish someone would do this for the Mets games, definitely a good way to take a look at the next series.

No problem. There's no Mets thread because the Mets fans on here spend most of there time talking about the Yankees...

Boynton Beach Jets 9,307 #19 Posted April 20, 2009 Anybody have any idea how this effects the Bosox series this weekend, I guess this works out well that they can skip over Wang now.
Morrissey 12,992 #20 Posted April 20, 2009 (edited) Anybody have any idea how this effects the Bosox series this weekend, I guess this works out well that they can skip over Wang now. Yeah, that's probably what they do. They probably go with CC tomorrow, so they can have him in the Sox series with the day off Thursday. We can also push Joba back a few days. Tomorrow: CC Wednesday: Pettitte Thursday: Off Friday: Burnett Satuday: Joba Sunday: CC Edited April 20, 2009 by Tyler Durden
Otter 27,367 #21 Posted April 20, 2009 Anybody have any idea how this effects the Bosox series this weekend, I guess this works out well that they can skip over Wang now. I figured that they were going to skip over Wang anyway. They might just put him on the DL and give some rehab starts. He's a mess right now.
MagicBizkit87 7,087 #22 Posted April 20, 2009 I did just read on Peter Abraham's last blog post that he said Andy Pettitte would be pitching tomorrow. That would mean that CC isn't facing Boston? I think that would be stupid.
GimmeShelter 21,640 #23 Posted April 20, 2009 No problem. There's no Mets thread because the Mets fans on here spend most of there time talking about the Yankees... Actually there's only a handfull of Mets fans on here. That number likely would be different if we won the 96 WS. Any Met threads easily would get buried by the likes of Melky is developing power or Yankee polls.
MagicBizkit87 7,087 #24 Posted April 20, 2009 Rest of week, from yankees.lhblogs.com: Tuesday vs. Oakland: Andy Pettitte Wednesday vs. Oakland: CC Sabathia Thursday: Day off Friday at Boston: Joba Chamberlain Saturday at Boston: A.J. Burnett Sunday at Boston: Andy Pettitte So obviously Chien-Ming Wang is getting skipped. No word yet as to when (or in what role) he will pitch next. I go somewhere else to talk during a Mets game... with Mets fans and no interruptions. I come back here to bitch.
