All done with my interview stuff (cross your fingers for me), and finished catching up on the thread. Definitely some interesting developments. AVM seems to have completely gone off the deep end. I have no idea WTF just happened there. Looking at where to vote, I had actually already previously unvoted from CTM, and still want to put my vote elsewhere. In terms of the big trains, while I was one of the people to comment on Hess's "sanity", I thought of it as nothing more than a passing comment and don't see it vote-worthy. I can see what people are saying about Pac, but that just seems to be typical Pac douchiness to me more than anything else, but who knows. Lilly I didn't have much of a vibe on, but want to go back and take a look to see what people see there. The thing that's really stood out to me most was that recent reaction from AVM. It just seems very out of character and feel like there's something more than. What the hell would possess him to react like that, I have no idea, but maybe we can find out.

I'll bite. I was the 2nd vote on you, in which I was playing off of the joke vote from AVM and joining in. Side effect to see if putting you in the lead would get you to say something interesting. I feel like you'd be a good meltdown candidate, to be honest. But you shrugged off the first few votes on you and mostly ignored it, then accused somebody else of exactly that. At that point, you became more defensive and practiced what you preached.

I've chosen to respond to your post as although it's based on filth, it's not without logic. I assume some of the answers I provide you will address the apes concerns but if not he can go ahead and fire away with his dumb line of questioning.

But you started with a vote on Song, which was random bullsh*t. Mine on you was the same, so no harm there. Then you OMGUS vote CTM while bitching at I28 in the same post.....almost like there was a disconnect and that they weren't related....or are they? Then you switch to I28 because he "sucks". I don't care what the guy does on his spare time (eww?), but that was another bullsh*t vote and we were well into Day 1 and the time for those votes, in my opinion, had passed. Then you state you aren't ready to vote Hess, and then you actually do vote him with the first decent reason from you thus far. While I liked that vote, the history and action/reaction you've given before that has caused me to keep my vote on you.

First of all my inital vote is always on the newest player. I've done that for the 2 years I've played here which AVM and Brett4life can attest to. I like jumping on the newb to see how they react. You may call it "random bullsh-t" but it's by design. While we typically won't lynch new players on day 1, (which I'm fully aware of), that doesn't mean I can't give them an uncomfortable start. If they flinch I can revisit that player on day 2 when they become fair game.

My vote on CTM was an blatant OMGUS vote as I was enjoying the speed with which his train was gaining momentum. He was nowhere near being lynched so I wanted to see him squirm like the worm he is. I'll be the first to admit there was no reason other than self gratification. I didn't expect much more traction so I wanted to jump on while it was in full swing.

I then switched over to I2D2 purely for the lolz of my post. I thought the vote for him was done in a funny way while illustrating the fact I think he sucks.

Eventually I landed on Hess because he was the first player who I truly believe has a good chance to be scum. I've cited my reasons numerous times and he still has yet to mount any kind of coherent defense.

Perhaps you're confusing my joke votes for actual cases? I frequently hop around on day 1 and beyond until I find something concrete I can latch onto. Now that I think I've found that something with Hess I won't be switching until something better comes up.

You've been a solid scumhunter in past games I've played with you, but I see none of that here. You say you can't spend the time to refute whatever the hell I28 had to say about you (the "obliterating" post you foreshadowed), but instead of spending the time to do that, you spend it on a bunch of other posts, one being the solid one you made on Hess. If you don't have time at work to refute I28, how do you have the time to set up a decent post on Hess? That doesn't make sense to me. So there's my reason for voting you.

I eluded to this earlier but I was home for lunch and had 15 minutes to waste so that's when I wrote the post about Hess. Everything else during the day will be short bursts as I don't want my supervisor giving me sh-t for playing on the interwebz.

AVM is interesting, definitely acting out of character, but I think he might be some type of irrelevant town role that he feels isnt a bad day 1 kill. He's a smart player that would sacrifice his own good for the town. At the same time, I dont think he's the type of player to go this route on day 1 because of pressure.

I really don't know what to say, I hate day 1. Every vote I make nobody else agrees with (albeit CTM was somewhat of a joke), and keeping a vote on somebody with nobody else is fairly pointless, and basically the same thing as not voting at all this early in the game.

If I had to choose between Hess, Lily, and Pac its a difficult decision for me. If anything, I'd like to just take a stab in the dark with someone staying on the DL like (and this is off the top of my head without reviewing post counts.. Wombat, Verb, BG, Slats, JC) Generally because I believe there are more scum hanging on as a bottom-feeder rather than leading town (CTM, Pac, and I28 IMO)

That being said, I have a few scum tells on Lily and she hasn't busted any of them out-- not to say she hasn't changed how shes played since last season. I just know when I compared her scum games here + the game I played with her on Myndjack she can do some very specific things. Until then, she passes for now.

As far as Hess, I don't see the sane/insane thing. Hes just always insane, and always the man and my homeboy that tore up Star Wars with me.

So, in the spirit of making D1 go and choosing who I think is most likely scum...
