They also shouldn't PM players that have been "cleared" and start a chat. First off who's to say the person who PM's you is really the cop. Secondly, if you're the cop who's to say the person you're PMing isn't a GF or your result is invalid for some other reason. The people freaking out about my suggestion are ones to keep an eye on. I just played Lily's game, wasn't the cop, but I did get the name of a townie for a reward, and we formed an alliance and it was pretty fun and nice to have someone to share my thoughts with. When I made the post, I did so knowing full-well that it was a flawed plan for a Cop. You aren't exactly enlightening anyone... I put the plan forward for Cop + investigative roles not impacted by faulty results, like the GF. You chose to make the conversation exclusively about the Cop. You also chose to over-react to it first... so yeah, you are freaking out. Like the typical dumb drama queen we know you to be. You should have let it play out for more than a heartbeat, so we could have gotten more than 3-4 reactions... before making yourself the center of discussion. While you've since tried to justify it, you do realize there's a pretty big difference between having a concern over flaws in Ape's plan (such as a godfather being contacted by the cop), and trying to plant the seed that all of the cop's investigative results will be wrong, right? It's no surprise that you're now trying to claim this was a "calculated move", but the only problem is your reaction makes no sense if that were the case. Obviously if someone agreed with your moronic theory, that would be very scummy, but now you're trying to play it off that my calling you out on your (supposedly intentionally) scummy play is scummy.
