Why is it we are expecting the world from the Patriots this season? Is it their incredible defense this year, their AMaZING offensive weapons?

Even Goddell has moved on...no more tuck rule.

Perhaps we should follow suit. F the Pats. F the Fins. The Bills are cool. F the talking heads. We can take #1 this year. We're best when backed into a corner with low expectations.

It's not expecting the world, it's simply a matter of the fact that the Patriots not only have Tom Brady, but also share a division with the freakin Jets, Dolphins and Bills.  There's no more to it than that.  Keep in mind that, since Brady took over, the Patriots have failed to win the AFC East a grand total of two times out of twelve, both times only losing the division on tiebreakers and the latter of which saw Brady out for the year.  The Pats taking the AFC East is about as safe of a bet as you'll find in pro sports.

I think the Pats have big problems this year.  OL should be more porous, and who are their offensive weapons to complement Brady?  But still the irony is the rest of the division is so weak, the Pats will likely go at least 4-2 in the division, which on top of winning the division, may even help their playoff seeding.  I doubt very much they go far this year, though.
