No way in hell 33 soon to be 34 year old head case.

When has River ever been a head case? From what i heard he is a great teammate, family man and overall good guy. Maybe im missing something.

Another good thread to re-emphasize my belief that Mariota was a great chance to fix this problem.

Also another great thread to point out how ridiculously stupid it is to even bring it up because the Titans, barring a ridiculous offer, were selecting him all along at two.

Based on what? He ran fast in practice?

You stick with the guy that requires Bucs' "public relations" escorts to interviews and events while throwing countless interceptions in practice.

I'll stick with the guy that is already impressing coaches, players, and beatwriters by making good decisions and carries himself like a grown man.

Chargers agreed to terms with QB Philip Rivers on a four-year, $83.25 million extension through 2019.

The deal should help ensure Rivers finishes his career with the only NFL team he's ever known. The contract includes $65 million in guaranteed money and locks up Rivers through his age-37 campaign. Rivers, 33, was owed a $15.75 million base salary entering the final year of his contract. Having spent the last two years under Mike McCoy, Rivers has become a different-style quarterback after beginning his career as a vertical-bomb specialist with Norv Turner. Rivers has a 63:29 TD-to-INT ratio under McCoy with sparkling completion rates of 69.5 percent (2013) and 66.5 (2014).
