The New York Jets vs New England Patriots game which was flexed to Sunday at 4:30 has been flexed back into the primetime Sunday Night slot with Todd Bowles announcement that Ryan Fitzpatrick and not Bryce Petty would be the starter.

The NFL feared that had Petty been named the starter the game would be a massively lopsided affair and might lose viewership within the first 5 minutes of the telecast. Last weeks Jets vs Rams game set the NFL back to the Stone Age and it was reported some Jet fans committed suicide with their families saying "he just couldn't watch another second of it", one such fan was quoted as saying before he took his own life "another delayed handoff!".

But with Bowles announcement that Fitzpatrick was again the starting QB, some call him Fitzmagic, the odds of keeping the game within 21 points now becomes a distinct possiblity. Chis Collinworth it has been said has been briefed on keeping viewers interested by extolling the virtues of young Jet players as "up and comers", and to mute his criticism of future Hall of Famer Darrelle Revis whose play significantly declined to where Jet fans are referring him by the name Vance, some kind of inside joke that only Jet fans are privy.

Wow, tough crowd. You would think this is the season to be a little more light hearted. I guess none of you are Onion fans. Onion world Atlas, one of the funniest books ever printed.

My guess is there are Jet fans out there who will enjoy the humor, ones who actually enjoy humor.

The onion is actually funny.  Subtle difference.

If this were true, you wouldn't be so offended by one joke bombing.

Not at all, I'm just thinking someone with 20,217 posts would actually have something pertinent to say or inject their own sense of humor without being critical of others who actually possess humor.

Give him some time. One doesn't gain possession of humor until 25,000 posts.
