Gainzo
I know about Split Enz. I Got You, Message To My Girl, One Step Ahead. I think I remember reading about the bassist from Crowded House dying last year. You have some great music from OZ. Midnight Oil (before they went insane), Nick Cave, The Church (Starfish is one of the best things ever recorded), Hoodoo Gurus... the list goes on and on. You can keep the DiVinyls, though. You have great taste in tunes my friend! The Church is a great band. They are legends back home. The Divinyls actually have some good songs the bad thing was that the "I touch myself" song was way overplayed on the radio. I forgot to add that I saw Pearl Jam play at the Boston Garden. They sucked, although the Garden wasn't the best place to watch a concert. Verde: I would suggest you purchase the INXS Anthology. It is a two disc set with all of their tunes. I listen to it all the time.

vanDoug
I was bored on my flight down to Houston so I decided to bore anybody that reads this with a list of the concerts I can remember attending. I've actually been a big Monkees fan since I was a kid watching the reruns of their show. Then I saw their movie Head and have been a huge fan ever since. They were a huge influence on the Beatles you know?

Preston Howley III
Looks to be a long offseason...4-12 and a new HC. I thought this would kill some time. So who have you seen in concert? Where? How many times? Who would you like to see? Jeez, I couldn't name them all (or remember them, no less) so here's a few notable ones: Sex Pistols reunion at Roseland NYC back in '94 or '96 (something like that). Got up close and personal. Ian Hunter at Stone Pony and some club in Sea Bright. Got up close and personal. Neil Young with Booker T and the MG's at PNC Arts center... When I was a kid I saw the Who, the Clash, the Ramones and Rick Derringer. Saw Judas Priest 5 times in high school. Cheap trick in San Diego, right after boot camp... Stones in '83 and '94... Bowie... Ringo Starr's all star band... Saw Jack Bruce at Club Bene... Bob Dylan... ZZ Top... Motorhead... Foghat... Robert Plant... Stevie Ray Vaughn... Grateful Dead... I never saw Pink Floyd, even though I love them. Jethro Tull I've seen live more than anybody else- 15 times, in NYC, Buffalo, Syracuse, and several locations in NJ. I also saw several Ian Anderson solo shows. Me and T-Mac saw Al Kooper at Battery Park and then went to a club and saw this band called Bonerama. They were intense. Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult... Kiss... Joe Satriani...
JerryK
I've never been a real concert guy..I've just never wanted to hear good songs that were recorded sober...played poorly and drunk. But I have seen: Cheap Trick: My only real rock show...saw them during an apparent "lull" in their career 1989 in an old skating rink. I was right up front, and they sounded great. I'd see them again. Joey Defrancesco.. He's the "Tiger Woods" of the B3 (blues organ) Already respected by all the Jazz/Blues legends and might not be 30 yet. Sade.. I'm married. Sometimes you just gotta do things. They were a good band, though.

Wolfe Jet
My first show was Air Supply at Westbury Music Fair (thanks to lame parents) I spent a lot of the 80's at numerous Hair Metal arena shows... Kiss VH Ratt Bon Jovi Iron Maiden Ozzy/Metallica Crue Rush (so may more I can't remember right now, but basically anyone in the genre that played either the Coliseum, MSG or Brendan Byrne) In the 90's, I spent a lot of time seeing Phish (25 times) in venues large & small (some of my faves were @ St. Lawrence Univ w/about 100 people in '92, 4 nights at Red Rocks in '96, The Royal Albert Music Hall in London in '95) Other Jammy Bands in the early 90's: Blues Traveler Widespread Panic Spin Dr.'s 1st year of HORDE (the 4 bands mentioned above + Aquarium escue Unit) at Jones Beach Billy Joel/Elton John Once I got on the radio full-time, concerts became work for the most part (DJing live from the event, introducing the band onstage, etc.) so I wound up at just about every club/shed show in the Modern Rock genre when I was on the air on The Nerve in Rah-cha-cha.. so (for those in upstate NY that can relate) anything at Finger Lakes, Darien Lake & in Rah-cha-cha back in '95-'97, you would have found me there.... Too many 1 hit wonders to name, but I got to party w/rock stars a lot... and most of that is now too blurry to retain. Now I only go to see specific artists (& I don't drive hours for shows anymore), but shows I have recently enjoyed: Ben Folds 5 & Ben by himself (since they broke up) Sting Jason Mraz (saw him a month ago in his high school auditorium, a very cool show) John Mayer

DHJF
Haven't seen a whole lot of them, but from what I can remember: First concert was The Cars (Wang Chung opened ) at SPAC. Had lawn seats. Since then, in no particular order: Tesla Ozzy Metallica Queensryche Kiss The Who The Allman Brothers Poison Jethro Tull G. Love & Special Sauce Van Halen DLR Cinderella Extreme Kool & The Gang Huey Lewis & The News Eddie Money Elton John Springsteen Judas Priest Warrant L.A. Guns Dokken Ratt The Eagles Lifehouse Joan Jett & the Blackhearts (have a guitar pick from this one in the shape and color of...you guessed it) There are surely more, just can't think of them. Believe it or not, my fav concert was Tull. Saw them at the Syracuse War Memorial. Just a great show all around.
