When the boys woke up, they noticed the fire had dwindled down and so had their supply of sticks. And with their best hunters now dead, they were starving and desperate to be rescued.

 

The boys, now only a few, had to act quickly. They split up and went into the jungle to look for more wood.

 

Even though the sun was showing to be  midday, the jungle  seemed to block it out like a thick canopy, creating an eerie sense of Darkness around them.

 

In one part of the jungle walked Maurice. The Darkness scared him but he was an older boy so he was able to remain calm as he felt around with his hands and bare feet for sticks and dry leaves to collect for the fire. 

 

As he was heading back to the fire with his cache, he heard what he thought was footsteps crinkling in the leaves behind him.

 

“Piggy, I am heading back to the fire. Did you find anything?”

 

No answer.

 

“Piggy?”

Again, nothing.

 

He started to feel the fear so he turned around and quickly started again back towards the fire.

 

That’s when a chill ran down his spine and somehow it got even darker. He was so cold that his insides began to hurt.

 

He fell to the ground and an invisible force grabbed him by the ankles and started dragging him back into the jungle away from the fire.

 

He kicked and screamed which only angered it. The Lord of the Flies silenced him for good. There was no coming back this time.

 

 

JETS - Maurice - VT had his skull crushed.

 

Piggy was the smartest of the group and his intelligence, along with his specs, were the only true hope that the boys ever had of surviving.

 

But intelligence did not win today. One boy was not enough to conquer the island and the Darkness that inhabited it. 

 

As Piggy walked back to the fire with his sticks, confident that today was the day that they were going to be rescued due to his superior efforts, he was struck in the face, knocking his glasses off and cracking one of the lenses.

 

He tried to gather himself but he was disoriented. He searched the ground for his specs confused as to what just happened.

 

When he finally found them, he put them on and that’s when he saw it-- the sow’s head on the stake next to Roger’s blackened, impaled corpse.

 

As he stood frozen for what felt like hours, attempting to process what he was seeing, the Darkness rose up from the sow’s head and devoured the little pig.

 

When the Lord of the Flies said to Roger that there was no escape, he meant for all of the boys, good or evil.

 

Jif - Piggy - Town Watcher had been digested by the Lord of the Flies.

 

 

Barry - Lord of the Flies - 3rd Party with a 1x Strongman ability and rightful inhabitant of the island has won the game.
