Andy Hawkins wasn't so bad

Dave Collins

Andy Hawkins sucked.

In two seasons he was 20-27 with a 5.05 ERA. In his first season with the Yankees, he gave up 111 earned runs - most in the American League. In his two seasons with the Yankees, his WHIP was an abysmal 1.51. All while striking out only 172 batters in two season.

He was terrible.

Mel Hall. A really bad guy who tried to make life miserable for a really good guy, a very young Bernie Williams.Hall teased, tortured and made fun of Bernie without ever beinga gentleman. Which is why Williams was such a class act to every young player that joined the Yanks while he was there. Thankfully Gene Michael got rid of Hall at the first opportunity.

Mr. Hall is the guest of some state correctional facility these days.

Cary wasn't terrible. Three seasons with the Yanks.

One solid

One "meh"

One bad

Chuck Cary

1989: 4-4, 3.26 ERA, 1.077 WHIP

1990: 6-12, 4.19 ERA, 1.34 WHIP

1991: 1-6, 5.91 ERA, 1.744 WHIP

I'll give you '89 as a solid year. He was terrible in '91.
