T0mShane
So basically, Batman and The Hobbit = disappointing and flawed. But musicals, that's where the action and realism is at friends. Expectations! Legacies!

billybroome
My advice: be at .10 BAC when you go in, and have Sno-Caps at the ready. Tom, Les Miserables was the gayest movie I ever paid for. After 30 minutes I threw my popcorn at the screen and walked out and sat in the lobby waiting for the wife to come out. Eventually four other guys joined me wondering how the f**k we got talked into paying to watch such gay sh*t! This alleged "movie" cannot hold a candle to The Life Of Pi. Total crap. billybroome
no pooty tang for you tonight. Not unless I show up drunk at the mod lounge. Word on the street is anyone can get their freak on there, and if mods aren't available Courtney is on call wearing a 12 inch strap on and directions to drive you to brown town. With straight people. LOL. Funny stuff. I am sure your wife hasnt loved all your choices (since she wanted Les Mis I can almost gurantee it, LOL). I also bet she never walked out on you in front of folks. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and just sit thru stuff and be with her on your 'date'. I've seen my wife 'fade off' with some of my choices ,and viceversa, but get up and leave her alone, yikes!! With my shrink hat on almost sounds like a homophobic reaction the way you have referenced gay so much. Dont worry, no one will think you like the Baloney Pony cause you sat thru a Musical Advice to you youngins. Dont embarrass the wives. Never ends well, whether you realize it now or not. After all, it's not like anybody had anti-aircraft cannons. Dumb birds. but you're ok with magic and trolls and mumakil and elves and dwarves and orcs and a giant ****ing eye ? lol the fell beasts can fly just as high, which is why the battle at the black gate. they had to draw out the army for the back door move

Do you think I'm stupid? (BTW nice reference to the Baloney Pony! Liked that one since the '70's.) I make SURE I pick movies we can both enjoy. Anything else I wait until it's released on DVD. Also she wasn't embarassed. She is the one who suggested I go to the lobby, eat overpriced food, and wait for her. Not a problem with that. RutgersJetFan
Is Gangster Squad guaranteed awesome or is it setting me up for a letdown? I feel like Penn, Brolin, and Gosling all have track records strong enough that it's reasonable to expect something pretty great. Per Warrior, Nolte still has his chops, and Ruben Fleischer seems like a guy who's ready to take the next step up as a director, Zombieland was great. The piece is fine on its own, but I think reading that brought a lot of that movie to life. It's funny, I loved it, but I have a few buds in the military and they all hated it.
