Sorry, Phillip Adams

The Jets today signed CB Phillip Adams, a veteran free agent who had been released by the Seattle Seahawks.

To make room on their 53-man roster for Adams, the Jets have waived sixth-round rookie WR Quincy Enunwa.

Adams (5'11", 195) was a seventh-round selection in the 2010 NFL Draft out of South Carolina State by San Francisco. He spent time with the 49ers that season, the Patriots and Seahawks in 2011, the Raiders in 2012 and '13, and the Seahawks again this offseason and preseason. He was a final cut by Seattle on Saturday.

He's played in 53 games (four starts, all with Oakland) and for his career has three interceptions, eight pass defenses, 51 defensive tackles and 11 special teams tackles.

Enunwa was the second of our four sixth-round selections in the May draft. He played in all four preseason games and had no receptions.

Said this yesterday, or today. Not surprised. Expected a couple draft picks to get cut after other teams filled out their rosters. This makes it easier to slip Enunwa onto the practice squad.

RT @evansilva PFF had Phillip Adams playing 38 snaps in Seahawks' preseason finale. Got burned for 2 TDs by players on the Raiders. #nyj

It was probably just a misunderstanding.

I really like Darrin Walls. But the spot he is going to be put in early in the season, it just isn't fair to him.

So............how many of Idziks draft picks made the final roster?

He drafted 12 players. And 14 of them made the final roster.

Lets stop with the trying to make this Seattle 2.0.

I would settle for Seattle 1.7.

Obviously, which is why he should have done his job months ago.

Idzik blew it on Patterson everyone can see that now-so what GM is going to make all the right decisions- lets look at the whole body of work instead of harping on one

So THIS is why we kept those draft picks on the roster. So we can cut them when 5 year journeyman shake loose on the waiver wires.

more like protect them from waiver claims so you can stash them on your PS.

Awesome. Because when your draft pick isn't as good as Phillip Adams, you know you have a diamond in the rough.

Idzik knows this team sucks, why throw money at it. An all pro CB gets us to 8-8 maybe.

Save the money for a year or two down the road when we're ready to make a run.

the bottom of every teams roster is jags

I meant the 53 man roster practice squad not included.

pssst

when 12 rookies make the 53, that's a bad sign, not a good sign

Pay attention. There are jags all over the field. With the exception of Pryor (an unknown) and Milliner (an up and down, oft-injured sophomore), our entire secondary is filled with jags.

Considering you are correct but the Gholston,DuCasse,Hill picks come back to haunt you a few years down the road.
