"Marty and I communicated a few weeks ago (about) what he'd like to introduce to Mark,'' Garcia said. "Mark is definitely getting more comfortable speaking the West Coast terminology. He had a brief glimpse of the West Coast system at USC.

"The toughest thing is this will be Mark's third offensive coordinator in six seasons. The guy has had to learn a new system just about every other year. From a consistency standpoint, that just doesn't translate to success in the NFL. You really need to be secure in what you're doing mentally in order to compete at the highest level.''

Thanks Jeff. He had the same coordinator for his first three years here, one that he helped drive right out the door.

Or the one that called like 60 passing plays against a weak Giants run D couple years ago?

We can all make fun but that's really encouraging news. Sanchez is doing what he has to do to try and make the most out of his last shot as a possible starter. He's a pretty likeable kid. Almost not a kid anymore really. It's not much but it's a small ray of hope.

His work ethic has never been questioned. His decision making might not be the best, but he puts in his due effort to become a good QB.

He's the kid that studies harder than all the others, but still has a D average. Woop-di-doo!

Rich Gannon worked out with him last year, then spent every game he announced killing him.

yeah I noticed that too. Sanchez was the HC in that flag football QB challenge thing with Gannon as the QB. They were like best friends watching that stupid thing. At least we know Gannon is objective.

We've had enough Schotty-bashing threads here for all of our feelings on that particular subject matter to be well know.  Garcia gave the impression that Sanchez has been switching coordinators every other year, which is just false.  Admittedly, sporano was terrible, but if sanchez doesn't lead the league in turnovers almost every year since he was a rookie, I bet Schotty is still hanging around.

won't change anything - Sanchez's pschye is shot - he really needs a change of scenery

What he really needs to do is start bagging a white, blonde chick.  Read: A-rod with kate hudson in the playoffs, Tiger with Elin and now Tiger with Lindsay Von.  Epic struggles all turned around by the power of the white, blonde chick vajayjay.

If Sanchez starts to play better, or even good, the fact still remains he had  two of the worst coordinators in the NFL along with horse sh*t talent around him as well.

No matter how you slice it you still dont want to see your QB turning the ball over at an alarming rate and have a low comp. percentage to boot. Im not sure if Mark is the right kind of QB for a west coast system but ya never know... Not to defend Mark (because Ive done enough of that) but it would be interesting to see how he performs under a real coordinator.

Blame the QB all you want Sparano and sh*tty are the pits .

Not that this is fun to say but realistically speaking the best thing that can happen for the Jets is for Dipsh*t to step up. Say he came out and had a good season, his contract becomes at worst a solid price for a starting caliber QB over the next 3 seasons. That gives them so much flexibility....

Actually, that's not even true. The best thing that could happen is that some kid coming out of college takes the job for pennies, allows Sanchez to be cut, and really gives the Jets some financial breathing room.
