Nick Ferraro
I didn't say he isn't good. I just said he's overrated.
Blackout
I didn't say he isn't good. I just said he's overrated. I think he's easily one of the top 5 tight ends in football, and while he may have been over-rated 2 years ago, he's learned to hold onto the ball more this year and held down his end of the bargain Vick on the other hand, declines each year
Mavrik
a lot of people before this season thought they considered Brian Urlacher one of the most overrated players in the NFL. I guess with the way the defense has shaped up this year that has changed.
StillerPaul
What, Big Ben didn't make the list? I've spent the better part of this season defending him, believe it or not.
GREENSMACKS
leftwich overated? i admit hes quite beefy but fat albert is tough as a mofo, kick him in the balls he won't flinch. how does randy moss not make your list?
Maxman
I want to say that Ty Law is not overrated. But although he is very talented he did not deserve a pro bowl berth this year. So I guess that kind of proves it right there!
Nick Ferraro
I gave Moss a pass for being hurt most of the year. he actually impressed me by playing through the pain. I didn't think he was a guy who would do that. He appears to be growing up. Urlacher was always good. They needed a decent DT to keep linemen off him. They finally got that, so you see the true Urlacher this year.
James Hasty
1. M. Vick 2. J. Shockey 3. J. Delhomme 4. T. Law 5. J. Runyan 6. R. Wayne 7. R. Barber 8. B. Leftwich 9. S. Davis 10. P. Rivers Shockey is one of the best TEs in the game today. He is highly regarded for a reason. Stephen Davis isn't getting any younger but he is one of the most uderrated players in the league and has been for a very long time. The rest of your list I agree with, except Philip Rivers should be moved up to 1A. If he is so good he should be starting over Brees already. Bugg
Don't think anyone's overrating Delhomme, since even the Carolina fans don't think he's much more than a good game manager.

PatsFanTX
DeBlob Robertson There is a picture of DFat in the dictionary right next to the word "over rated". I can't believe the Jets gave up two 1st's and a 4th for this fat pile of doggy doo.
AVM
I wonder if your other 17 posts are as intelligent as this one.... no worries...anyone that writes an overrated list thats compiled of JUST new york jets, and doesn't include doug jolley, j-mac, or bryan thomas(although he really WAS overrated...and we all know he sucks now...so i suppose he doesnt count haha)...and instead has a couple of rookies who arent talked about enough to be overrated, jonathan vilma, and an obviously greatly missed LB in eric barton.... hes a complete **idiot**

nj meadowlands
I agree with Shockey being overrated... i've really soured on him the last few years. And although I'd like to put Eli on the list, we all know he sucks 1. Tedy Bruschi (if I had a stat category created for me I might look pretty good too) 2. Michael Vick 3. Ben Roethlisberger 4. Clinton Portis 5. Jeremy Shockey 6. Champ Bailey 7. Jake Delhomme (pro bowl?) 8. Troy Polamalu 9. Plaxico Burress 10. Daunte Culpepper Most UNDERRATED include - Rudi Johnson - Drew Brees - Hines Ward - Jonathan Vilma - David Givens - Derrick Brooks - Donnie Edwards

Young QB'S who know how to win aren't easy to find. He's solid. What are you guys thinking about Shockey. Other than Gates, he's the best tight end in football. Just a freak athletically wise. Whats your basis on Palamulu being overrated? We sure could use a guy like that patrolling the field at safety. Other than that, your list was pretty accurate. Plaxico's soft. nj meadowlands
Valid points-- With Big Ben, I think anytime a QB goes 15-1, especially as a rookie, and receives the media attention he does, he's gonna be open to claims of being overrated last year. I just thought from watching the Steelers last year that the team would win IN SPITE of Big Ben and not BECAUSE of him. I've been in a lot of stupid arguments over who is better-- Big Ben or Donovan McNabb-- those just make me laugh. I'm good friends with Art Rooney's daughter, and while she loves Ben, seems to feel the same way. Shockey I think has been going downhill. For all the talking he does, he sure does drop a lot of endzone balls. Not to mention every time he gets hit or doesn't make a play he gets up with the old loser's limp. I LOVE Polamalu's aggressiveness, but I think eventually he's gonna get exposed for just that--being over aggressive. He did a littttle bit in the Indy game on Monday Night, and I think good teams will soon realize how to beat him with playactions and by planning better routes in front of him to bait him. Can't have an under-rated list without mentioning him. As for your over-rated list, how is Portis over-rated? Have you been asleep for the past month? It appears as though he's finally comfortable in Joe Gibbs' offense and his numbers prove it. Agree on the rest though, except Polamalu. And I HATE Polamalu.
