Your kidding..? hot damn boys !! we have a circus fully equipped with clown's, circus mutant's, sword swallower's, mirror maze and a ******* ring of fire !!

Yeah, I read it yesterday. The relationship between GM and Schiano is not good. And Schiano was never on board with Freeman, since it was a draft pick before he got there. Article read like 'Schiano is using Freeman for his final chess move in the power struggle'.

But they have the greatest corner of all time. And are paying $16 million for the privilege.

Also paid the privilege of the #13 overall pick, locked up for the next 4 years at $2.5M per, and probably next year's 3rd rounder as well.

Which is totally fine matter because Tampa doesn't need a TE or any offensive linemen.

Can we finally all admit that the Revis trade was a genius move?  You win in this league with QB's.  Good corners are necessary but aren't winning you games by themselves.  $16 million? hahaha.

Its still tough, cause he was ours. Our drafted guy. Our leader. Our superstar.

It was a genius move by our GM to pick up a first and a third for a selfish "give more money every year" player coming with a major injury.  Revis is on contract to be paid 16 Millions or more every year.  I would love to see the drama on hard knocks when the Bucs ask him to take a pay cut.  That will be like  a pay per view.

It's $16M exactly every year (no more, no less).  So there isn't a "down" year money-wise, after which he can be cut.  Getting him to agree to that will be impressive unless Revis has some obvious dip in his play.  Because absent that Revis has convinced himself that playing for only $15M per year is a slap in the face.

I don't know if it was genius, but it certainly was great negotiating.  Only one interested party who knew for certain that we had no interest in locking him up long-term.  It's easy in hindsight to say that it wasn't impressive, since plenty of fans were willing to take a 2nd rounder next year.  Tampa seemed like they'd made their top offer and hadn't budged on the top pick being a 2nd rounder and that it would have been better than the nothing we would have gotten if we didn't make a deal. Would have been 1 more year of Revis, in an obvious rebuilding year, then only retain Revis if we outbid all 31 other teams (including the Bucs, who were willing to pay him $16M per year).  So many others were in take the best you can get and then be done with it.  Idzik played it very cool and Sheldon Richardson is the reward.

Yup, and Revis will NOT be a Buc next year.

Freeman demanding trade by deadline, man they really a circus down there. They will have a tough D, but won't be able to score enough to matter. Sounds familiar.

Their tough D still lost to Brees in their division - all that money spent, same result.
