Even our own players are leaving We resigned Cumberland, Folk, Walls, Lankster, Douzable and Pace. The only player we seemingly lost out on was Howard, who got top RT money from the Raiders and Trufant who signed with the Browns. It was reported that over a half dozen teams were expected to have significant interest in Cumberland should he have hit the open market. Douzable, for his contract, provides the depth with solid depth and allows for different packages and to keep certain guys fresh. Carolina has ZERO receivers for Cam to work with, and they opted not to bother with JJ. That's why he's a Raider... the writing should be on the wall about him at this point. Same goes for some of the other guys we've been linked to but haven't really "gone after". Preliminary conversations and feeling out guys is due diligence, but if a player can't justify his asking price... let them become Raiders. Period.
