jetscrazey
This is a guy who may come cheap, and could be a very good depth guy for the Gailey offense, as he's a dual threat (running/receiving). I wouldn't mind carrying 3 backs, by resigning Powell, signing Rodgers, and drafting a "between the tackles" guy if they want to move on from Ivory who seems to be getting injuries at the wrong time always. Rodgers is a small, shifty running back who caught 50+ balls in 2012 and 2013 down in Atlanta with Matt Ryan. In 2014 his production tailed off on a bad team with only 23 catches and in 2015 he signed with the Bears but ended up in IR early in the season with a broken arm. He could fill in for Powell so the offense doesn't shut down if he gets injured. He also plays special teams.
cant wait
Sure he'd be great if you want a running back that sucks
j4jets
No. Waste of roster spot. He's a weaker version of Powell n we need a starter.

jack48
We need a bellcow. Powell is an effective backup, a totally ineffective starter. I think that guy comes in the draft. OL, LB, RB. Probably in that order
drdetroit
How about we get Aaron Rodgers

munchmemory
Only positive I can think of in signing him is an upgrade in the bizarre name department.
Jet Nut
No scrubs please lol He's a RB who's never averaged 4 per. Is at 3.6 per for his career and never more than 360 yards. He is a one trick pony and not really one of my 3 RBs, would ra her draft an all around back
Villain The Foe
No. I'd rather draft a RB that would possibly develop into something. Rodgers is what he is, and it isnt much to begin with.
Beerfish
I don't think he is that good but he is the type of guy we need. I'd resign Ivory unless he wants a truck load of money, bring back powell and draft a back. When talking about scrubs we had the ultimate scrub in Ridely last year. chirorob
How about we get Aaron Rodgers That makes no sense. He can't play running back, he's not strong enough. Plus, no running back is worth the kind of money Rogers is getting.

Integrity28
Is there really a Jacquizz Rodgers sign this beast thread only, what, 10 days into the off-season for us? Sheesh.
jetscrazey
Is there really a Jacquizz Rodgers sign this beast thread only, what, 10 days into the off-season for us? Sheesh. who's calling him a beast? I'm calling him a #3 RB who can be a cheap dual-threat and play special teams. His skill set is a fit for the Gailey system. Just one potential target out of the pool of RB free agents who could make sense.

#27TheDominator
Can't complain much about a vet minimum signing of a guy that isn't even 26 and has 5 years of NFL experience. Not much to get excited about either.
CrazyCarl40
If the Jets are looking at bringing in a running back via free agency to go with Powell/Stacy/Draft Pick, might I suggest Bobby Rainey or Travaris Cadet. Both return guys, and can play the Sproles like role out of the backfield. Those are two names I'd look at before Quizz.
jack48
Drafting positions in that order would mean Macc totally changes his draft philosophy . he will take best player, no doubt. I would just rate the positions as q,w,3 all things being equal. I think our OL need is the greatest, with the exception of QB.
GAjetFan
As a resident of ATL, and being forced to watch more falcons games then I ever want, I can confirm he sucks. Do not sign this "beast". his biggest accomplishment was a FF reference on "The League"
