bman
Is there really any interest... Jets would be FOOLS not to. Imagine jets have 3 #1 picks and then the 35! 1a) Winston Justice..starter 1b) Chad Jackson..starter 1c) Maroney or best rb available...or Gabe Watson (potential Starter) 2) Best LB available... I'll take that any day over leinert/brick

Denver is interested in moving up I would reckon to get Leinart. NO is probably asking mor ethan just the 2 1sts this year. I'd take two firsts this year and a 2nd next year to move down from #4 with the Broncos.

Greensince69
THere was some talk about a month ago that Denver was interested in the trade. THey are looking for thier next QB (or maybe another player they can only get that high) I also dont think they want to pay 2 first rounders this year. If they want to do it, I go for it. Witht the first 3 picks take 3 of the 5 LT,NT,OG,LB.

mudcat21
Using the Draft Value Chart trading picks 15 (1050) and 22 (780) works out pretty even for our #4 (1800) pick. So it's not out of the question.
AFJF
jets had 4 picks... abe, ellis, becht and penny! Keyshawns career ahs been better than all 4!! None of them have been spectacular and the only reason Key could be considered better than any of them (except Becht) is injuries. Abe is a pro bowler when healthy, Pennington is one of the most accurate passers in the NFL when healthy, and Keyshawn is a solid possession WR. bman
so.. Health matters! You cant say, "well, pennington could have been great if he stayed healthy"..The fact is you are what you are.. Pennington has had 1 good season.. and has stuck it up if 2nd rd playoff games.. Abe barely stays on the fied ellis has not lived uo to potential.. and becht has played like a 23rd round drfat pick... So Keyshawn has had a much better career tahn all those players

slats
A single #4 pick will cost more $ than the #15 and #22 picks combined. If they move up with us, player salary will not be a reason. You are correct. Not only will the #4 cost more than the #15 & 22 combined, it will cost twice as much as those two picks combined. If Denver does it, they do so 'cause they love someone, not to save money. It's the Jets who'll be saving money. A lot of it. As a 13-3 team last year, they're certainly entitled to feel as if they're just one player away. I'd love for them to pull off this trade. It would go a long ways toward undoing the damage of the trade up for DRob.

slats
If Denver does move up it's going to be with New Orleans, not the Jets. Not that the blessed trade chart is the be all and end all of trade calculations, but the difference between the #2 and #4 pick in the draft, according to it, is about the equivalent of a mid/late first round pick. Denver could probably get the Jets pick with "just" their two first rounders. Getting to #2 would probably cost them their #1 next year, too. They'd really have to love a player for that. PeterNorth09
I know Plummer had a bad game in the AFC Championship game but are they that down on him that they want to trade up and get Matt Leinart? That would make Plummer a lame duck next year. Denver is a win-now team. If I was Denver I would just stay with the 2 First Rounders. Even though Plummer didn't play well against the Steelers he still got the Broncos to the AFC Championship.
124
Also, who the hell would Denver be targeting? They don't need a D'Brick or Mario and they don't need Leinart, Young or Cutler. There's no way in hell that they take a QB 2nd or 4th overall when they have Jake Plummer on the roster. If they do then that's just stupid and a waste. But, I'd take the trade down. 15 - OT Marcus McNeil 22 - OLB Chad Greenway or OLB DeMeco Ryans 29 - C Nick Mangold 35 - NT Gabe Watson

gsnts725
i'd like the idea of trading down w/ the broncos even though i doubt it'll happen lol. if we do here's my ideal draft: 15 - OT Winston Justice or OT Marcus McNeill 22 - RB DeAngelo Williams 29 - C Nick Mangold (if we dont sign Trey Teague) or OLB DeMarco Ryans 35 - OG Max-Jean Gilles? Key has been the most consistent by far but still far from living up to #1 overall pick status. Very good possession WR in my opinion and anytime you can get two #1 picks for a posession WR you do it.

MikeJetsWord
That's what I'm guessing. I thought that they would want Mario Williams... There were looking for the pass rushing DE before in Abe, but were to cheap to sell... so maybe they would like to move upp to #4 and get Mario. I'm almost positive that is why they would trade up, not Davis, no matter how spectacular Davis may be...

Davis being a freak. I do agree with you that it could be Mario though, which means this won't get done until draft day possibly.
NIGHT STALKER
Here's a mock draft with the Jets trading with Denver...I think our picks suck in this mock although from a value standpoint, it's okay. 1. Houston Texans - Reggie Bush, RB, USC 2. New Orleans Saints - D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia 3. Tennessee Titans - Matt Leinart, QB, USC 4. Getting the #4 pick with that knowledge makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
