Giants have 4 Super Bowl wins since 1987 and really, they have 1 Super Bowl in the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s and 2010’s. If you’re a giants fan who is in their 40’s, you’ve got to witness 4 championships.

giant fans don’t get it, they’ve just got the result multiple times in their life times that this fan base hasn’t.

This the answer right here

maybe 1% of this board was alive to see Super Bowl 3

if the jets had 4 Super Bowl wins speaking only for myself I would not give a rats behind for half the incompetence they show year over year

Giants seem poised for a rebuild and would not be the least bit surprised if they took a qb in round 1.  Dabol inherited jones and will get his chance to draft one.

The Giants signed a 29 year old OL, a soon to be 26 year old defensive end and a RB who will be 27 when the season starts. Oh and they have a 31 year old tight end.

Not exactly a rebuild, more like a team trying to recapture the glory of a 9 win season.

He signed off on the jones extension though.

Giants trade a 2nd and 5th and then sign this “edge rusher” (8 sacks in 2023) for what turns out to be 30 mil per season for 5 seasons with a ton of guaranteed money, lose their only real playmaker to their division rival, for what is a reasonable contract, lose one of their best players in McKinney, and sign a couple of average offensive lineman.

Jets sign what turns out the to be one of the only real (must sign) backup QBs available, with Brissett, Minshew, and Darnold signing for teams where they will be competing for starting jobs this season, sign young mid range OG and DT with limited risk, allowing for bigger splashes, and re-sign the best kicker in their history.

Giants fans - we won the 1st day of FA- so happy

Jets fans - we are clueless - everyone we signed sucks, fire everyone.

My dad passed and willed his season tickets to me and my brother. After my brother passing, it’s all on me. I have to carry on the legacy. Rooting for the team is not a problem. Good or bad, I am a die hard. Being around miserable fans is torture.

Why do Giants fans get it and Jets fans just continue to be negative about everything? The Giants are gonna be terrible this coming season and likely the next, as well. The Jets have legit playoff chances. And yet…..

Can you just clarify some of your points for me?

Giants fans "get it" because the Giants are going to be terrible and they think otherwise?

And Jets fans don't "get it" because they lament that the Jets have sucked (which they have) and will continue to suck (which they will).

Is that right?

Sounds to me like you'd be happier as a Giants fan?

@Jdeet try to make the negative post humorous. Laugh. Give your positivity right back at them, so they can laugh too. Everyone has a good time. Life is too short to get bothered by differing opinions on sports message board.

C - no one cares.

Without that contract the Burns trade would have looked like a great move.  However $30M for a pure pass rush specialist coming off a down year is a massive risk.  If he gets back to his pre-2023 trajectory then maybe it could end up looking "OK", but I highly doubt that contract will ever look "good".

Jets moves so far have been low key, and while there hasn't been anything to go crazy about, there also hasn't been anything that could potentially bite us in the ass down the road.  Considering the outlook of our cap situation next year and especially in 2026, this is kind of what I expected.  Lower cost investments and maybe some expensive short term signings(Bakhtiari).  Will be interesting to see what we do at WR though - that's the one spot I can see JD rolling the dice on an expensive contract.

I agree with this.  All of it except, we came into this offseason with our ass pre-bit.

I read on this very website that Jets fans get hard at being miserable.  The next time you are surrounded by miserable Jets fans, think about that!

Oh sure, play the mature guy.  There is no room for that on this board.

I can sniff a Giants fan from 5 mobile phones away…. Head over there pal

To be fair when the giants suck most of their fans disappear half way through the season. Atleast the miserable bastard jet fans stick it out to the bitter end?

Tyrod Taylor sucks there I said it

His durability certainly does.

His production and ability to lead winning games is pretty much mid-tier for an NFL backup QB.  Acceptable, but not special.

Which to be fair is a huge upgrade from what we've fielded for several years now.

They're going to draft McCarthy. We need to find a way to get Nix or Penix

Relentlessly negative fans can certainly be a downer. I get that. If you're going to just sh*t on the team in every thread try to be clever about it.

However, the house is currently on fire and the homers who attack fans who seem to realize that are the most annoying fans on the board by far.

Personally I can tolerate a guy who occasionally complains about negativity than a guy who wants to know where Zach Wilson is 24/7. YMMV.

Baldy mentioned on NFL Network last night that the Giants should look into trading for Fields. Also said the Rams.

The Giants already traded a 2nd and a 5th. I'm not sure they would want to give up any more draft capital.

They still have a 2 nd and 2 3’s I think. It’s probably crazy, but maybe they could pawn DJ off on the Broncos or Vikings. I’d take Fields over Jones any day and twice on Sunday over JJ McCarthy.

The have a pick in rounds 1-6. So not bad. But there is no way I'd trade anything more than a 5th for Fields and I think Chicago will be looking for more than that.
