Barton
About 40 minutes ago, Adrian Jones was interviewed on PFC Radio live. He was asked how much he weights now compared to when the Jets drafted him 1 year ago.... He said he weighed 280lbs when the Jets drafted him and he has now bulked up to 315 lbs! This cements my feelings on Jones. Bradway, Herm and Mawae all say he is ready. And at 315lbs he's definetly big enough to be a very successful right tackle for us. Jetsfan80
What? No confidence in Jason Fabini? "Bad Back" Fabini ought to either be at RT, his natural position, or on the bench, if we can find someone after June 1 to take his place, or if Cavka proves himself worthy. Barton
I too would like to see him at LEFT tackle. He's more nimble on his feet than Fabini, while Fabini on the right side would show off his best quality (run blocking) and Adrian Jones on the left side would show off his best quality (pass blocking) I remember hearing about a month ago saying that Jones would be the Jets LEFT TACKLE, I think Bradway said that, but then like a week later I think Herm said he would be our RIGHT tackle. bitonti
Cavka will replace Fabini at LT sooner than people think - he's another that got larger - also Jones body type always struck me more as a RT -

Vilma, JMac, Strait, Cotchery, Jones, Cavka and Coleman! DAAAAAAAAMN, and not to mention a great special teamer in darrell mcclover.
TomShane
Jones should play RG, Fabini RT and they should draft one of the four great left tackle prospects next year. Cavka is doomed to suck, simply because LimoLady has cursed him by annointing him a "great player". Woe is Cavka. Woe, woe Cavka.

Barton
Interesting.... While both Cavka and Jones weighed in under 300lbs at the combines they posted excellent bench reps (27 each) while Robert Gallert, weighing in 25lbs heavier benched only 24 reps. http://www.kylewatkins.com/2004_combine_tackles.htm ^^^^ VJ stands for what? I dunno but Adrian Jones had the 2nd highest VJ at the combines at 31 inches

After Belichick snatched Logan Mankins out of our hands, we're short on future Hall of Fame left tackle prospects. So now we have to hope for Adrian Jones to pan out. Kentucky Jet
I just hope that we aren't rushing JONES into action. He was awfully raw last year at LT and now we are moving him to RT. What gives? Cavka was more advanced then JONES and was supposed to be our RT. He is more of a power blocker then JONES.
