But now, since the collapse is approaching epic... self-preservation will rear its ugly head, and Rex will need his boss to buy him another year. Schotty will be gone, and Rex will be under a good deal of scrutiny, he will be afforded the opportunity to bring in his own OC. Hopefully he chooses someone competent. Frankly, teams rarely give up on a blue chip QB after 2 years - and the Jets believe in Rex - so Schotty will be the odd man out IF 2008 repeats itself, as he should be (and should have been in 2008).
